During our search online we were invited to a couple of dealerships and others were referrals. As soon as we were greeted by the salesman, we clear let them know that we were looking first before we made a decision. That seemed to be a deal breaker. Alfonso on the other hand, said he was happy to help. He listened and answered the thousand and one questions we had. My husband fell in love with a truck., the Silverado 1500 LT Z71. It was going to be a Christmas gift. Because this was going to be his first new truck he would own, I wanted it to be a surprise. Alfonso help me by telling him the truck he wanted sold. That was not a lie, I had already purchased it. Alfonso help me take the truck home and surprise my husband. The reaction on my husband was priceless and unforgettable. Alfonso not only provided us with great customer service but he went over and beyond helping me pull it off. I plan to visit Alfonso again for my next car purchase. More

First of all, let me preface this by saying that I have been involved in many car purchases at dealerships, and have had negative, extremely negative, First of all, let me preface this by saying that I have been involved in many car purchases at dealerships, and have had negative, extremely negative, and down right scary bad experiences. So when I started shopping for a relatively hard to find car, 2018 Camaro ZL1, I ended up at Gateway Chevrolet in Avondale, AZ after seeing the car online. I arrived at the dealership, and my anxiety level was high and I was prepared to battle. I was greeted by a very nice "no pressure" sales associate (Alfonzo) who helped me work the numbers. I kept wondering when the Bull@^%$ was gonna start....it didn't. In fact Alfonzo brought out the General manager(Howard) to meet us. WHAT A GOOD GUY! Honest and a straight shooter. Howard went way beyond to accommodate me on my deal and made sure that I was 100% satisfied when we had a couple of particulars to deal with. For the first time EVER! I felt GOOD about my experience at a dealership. How refreshing. More

I will ALWAYS come back to Gateway! Let’s start from the beginning: I have been working on my credit for about 2 years. I had my eye on a Chevy Trax, and I had went into a dealership clo Let’s start from the beginning: I have been working on my credit for about 2 years. I had my eye on a Chevy Trax, and I had went into a dealership closer to me to check it out. As soon as I pulled in, I felt like I was surrounded by vultures. The salesman pressured me into pulling credit, talked up their financing department and how much magic they could do. Sadly, it was a Saturday, and he said he would contact me first thing Monday morning when the banks open. Well, guess what? I had to call multiple times to get back an answer. Not once did the salesman call me. They hassled me, tried to get me to accept an offer for over $100 over my monthly budget for a payment, an insane interest rate and wanted a large chunk of change down. I felt completely defeated and let down. (Let’s say this dealership didn’t have the “Courtesy” they claim to have.) They also did 4 hard pulls on my credit report. I wasn’t stoked, as they weren’t all listed as automotive. I came home that evening and I found myself looking again. More or less at the Trax, reading about it and researching financial lenders. I came across Gateway Chevy and looked at their inventory... and I found my dream Trax. I decided to call and Anthony Luna answered. I explained my situation to him, and asked about the deals listed for the Trax. He was super professional and friendly. The next morning, he promptly called me as promised and put me on the phone with his manager, Howard Thaler. Working in finance myself, I knew he couldn’t give me a definite number. But, I specifically told him everything about my budget, credit score, income and my trade in. I asked him point blank “Do you actually think this can be done?” He didn’t make me any promises, but he said he would start working my application and get back to me. He said he’d do his best to be honest with me, and he personally didn’t want me to drive all the way out there if I was just going to be let down. Not long after, he was already calling me back with good news. He told me my best case scenario, and my worst case. (Depending on the bank) He didn’t put pressure on me. He treated me like human being. I decided I was ready to try one last time. I made the drive to the dealership. On my way there, Anthony texted me and told me he had the car pulled up and in the shade for me! As excited as I was, I still knew something could change... I was a nervous wreck in the waiting room. Anthony was super kind and constantly around, doing his best to keep me feeling positive! After a short amount of time, Anthony came out with the good news that Howard was able to get me financing with a great lender within my budget. And he was able to get me an amazing price on my trade in. G(I was worried... I owed more than it was worth) AND I didn’t have to put anything down!!! When it was all said and done, I was able to thank Howard (yes, I hugged him!) and talk to him more about the financing. He didn’t sugarcoat anything with me, he was honest. My interest rate is over 10% less than my old car, and I finally feel like I’m getting ahead. Another thing to mention about Howard: he encouraged me the entire time. He complimented my effort to build my credit, he encouraged me with great advice and offered so many great suggestions to continue to get better. I’m not quite there yet... but, I am getting there. And it was amazing to feel like someone was on my side, and really vouched for me. Once we started wrapping up my deal, I was sent over to Jose Molina to finish signing. He was super great, explained things super clearly and answered all of my questions. He was kind and professional. This was my first new car purchase, so it was nice to have someone talk to me about what to expect. Soon after, Anthony was handing me the keys to my new Trax LT. It felt incredible! Earlier that day, I never would have thought this would have happened. I felt so defeated and ready to give up. I am so happy I called Gateway. I’m so grateful for Anthony for facilitating my sale, keeping me feeling positive and communicating with me. I am so grateful for Howard, for going the extra mile for me and helping me move forward in my life. All the advice and encouragement was beyond appreciated: And I am so grateful for Jose making the paperwork easy, and being super supportive. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I haven’t stopped smiling since I got in my new Trax. Long story short (maybe it’s too late for that!) ... GATEWAY CHEVROLET HAS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! I can’t wait to come back! More
