Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. We want you to become a part of the Gateway Chevrolet family, and believe, just as Joe Gambino, Sr did, that a family run business is the best type of business.
A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

Disgusting uneducated General Manager Very rude and pushy sales people. It was just horrible. I pray that child did not get traumatized. I was even going to call the police! I am still going to purchase a truck but not with that Chevrolet. Horrible to witness so much disrespect towards a human being let alone in front of a child in one visit. Shame on you Howard. More

Best deal, best truck I have ever owned. Sam was the best salesperson I ever met. Wasn't sure that I wanted a new truck. He assured me that it would be in my best interest. He was right! Where the advertised price isn't THE PRICE First off, allow me to clearly state that any car dealer's advertised price never includes taxes, registration, doc fees and the other xx they love to First off, allow me to clearly state that any car dealer's advertised price never includes taxes, registration, doc fees and the other xx they love to pull out of their back sides, ok? This den of inequity, and I still have the complete text dialog to back this up, advertises a vehicle at a price online and then tells you that that's not the price. And yes, they did have that very vehicle on the lot, available for purchase because I went to the dealership and, along with sales person Yoli (?), I actually touched the specific vehicle, I know, strange but true. But it gets better. Then, when I attempted to purchase the vehicle while negotiating with salesperson Andy Noelp then the FUN REALLY BEGAN. Long story short, when they realized that there was an actual record of their shenanigans and when I told them I was going to report their classic "bait and switch" MO to the AZ State Attorney General's office lo and behold I begin to get a series of emails from the sales manager. It eventually got down to where they were offering me $500 (the cost of a bed liner I was going to have installed) as HUSH MONEY. Gee, why would they be doing this if they hadn't done anything wrong? Hmmmmm...... Well, just like you'd think their mouths were writing checks that their xxx's couldn't cash. More
