I recently bought a brand new Camaro from Gateway, but I live in Yuma, AZ they were able to complete the transaction over the phone, not to mention Julio my car salesman actually drove my vehicle to me!!! N live in Yuma, AZ they were able to complete the transaction over the phone, not to mention Julio my car salesman actually drove my vehicle to me!!! Now if that is not above and beyond customer service, I don't know what it!! The 3 gentlemen of Julio, Donovan & Jason are a pleasure to work with, they did everything within their power to keep me happy and see my needs were met! I can't not give a more honest and valid review when I say, if you are looking for a car dealership who won't screw you over or give you the ole run around Gateway Chevrolet is it! They work with you and actually put you first, instead of just seeing you as another "quota" to meet! Kudos to the staff at Gateway I look forward to giving you additional business! Overall, I was very pleased with the whole experience and would recommend them to everyone. More
This is the absolute worst business I have ever had to deal with! They are nothing but a bunch of liars that wanted to bully me into buying a car because I am a young female. All they did was over promise deal with! They are nothing but a bunch of liars that wanted to bully me into buying a car because I am a young female. All they did was over promise and under deliever. I will never recommend anybody to ever go here. They gave me nothing but hassle. My experience here was a nightmare! More
We got a recall notice on our Trailblazer having to do with a switch in the door. Since we were new to the area, we tried the closest dealer/shop, Gateway. The service bulletin said it would take between with a switch in the door. Since we were new to the area, we tried the closest dealer/shop, Gateway. The service bulletin said it would take between 20 minutes and 1 hr-45. We called and made an appointment and the rep said allow 3 hrs. Several days later my wife took the car in. After 2 hours, they said they had to replace the switch but did not have any in inventory, so my wife came home. The driver door then did not lock with the fob and the windows can't be controlled. I can't figure out how they can set an appointment and not have a replacement part in stock. Several days later, we were driving by, and ask when they would have a new switch in stock. The rep called Parts and was apparently told they had one in stock. The rep told us he would have it done in 30 minutes or less, so we went to the waiting area. After 45 minutes, I went to see the rep and he said he found out that they did not have the switch in stock, again, and he found that out 30 minutes earlier. Didn't bother to tell us. We would probably still be there if I hadn't asked. The service manager was at lunch (2:30) so I complained to the warranty manager. He said he would have the service manager call me. Never got the phone call. We left and will never go to Gateway ever again. Time to find another Chevy shop, maybe further away, but hopefully they are managed better and can fix the recall issue. The customer service as always was great as far as sales go..About 3 wks or so ago someone vanalized our 2013 impala we knew the scratch was just on the surface didn't get to the paint only through the clea go..About 3 wks or so ago someone vanalized our 2013 impala we knew the scratch was just on the surface didn't get to the paint only through the clear coat, but we were frantic and upset and it being our first new car that we've only had for 3 mos now, we thought the worst of course. Well we take it to Gateway in Avondale have the body shop person come take a look at it (even though they were closed for the day) and he did a rough estimate but what got me was that he scrapped his nail over the scratched and said " oh yeah that's deep it's really in there you see how my finger nail catches? if I had to give a rough estimate you're looking at $700-$800 we have to take the fender off to color match and then we'll have to repaint the entire hood" needless to say we took it to Two other dealerships and they all said the same thing...Well they were ALL WRONG.......My husband took it to a place by tempe Townlakes its call EXCLUSIVE PAINT AND AUTO BODY 819 E CURRY TEMPE (found them on YELP)they buffed out and put some rubbing compound....I never would've guessed anything was there it came out beautifully they did say that IF it was deeper than the clear coat and IF they had to color sand it was going to cost $300 that's it AND GUESS WHAT we got it at NO CHARGE....THAT'S AWSOME SERVICE my husband tipped the man that did it $60 because it was worth it....I RECOMMEND this place to everyone based on that 1 experience. Not much I can say for these money grubbing dealers More
I was not impressed by the used car purchase experience at Gateway Chevrolet. I bought a pre-owned Chevrolet and paid for it with cash. Prior to taking delivery of the vehicle, I had noted that the right f at Gateway Chevrolet. I bought a pre-owned Chevrolet and paid for it with cash. Prior to taking delivery of the vehicle, I had noted that the right front quarter-panel (fender) had some damage to the clear coat. I asked the salesman whether or not it was possible to have the paint damage addressed, and was told only “I’ll see what I can do.” The dealership’s idea of an amicable solution to paint damage was simply to give me a business card for a mobile auto detailing business and a promise to call me with their schedule. On October 29, 2012 I took delivery of the vehicle. I had travelled to the dealership with a friend of mine, and had to inform the three salespeople (frankly speaking, mobbing that friend to the point where they couldn’t take more than two steps without one of the sales people invading their personal space) at the dealership that it was I, and not my friend, who was there to take delivery of a vehicle. Two and a half hours after arriving, I finally received the ignition key and, to be completely honest, nothing more than a head nod and a hasty turn of the back from my salesman. Apparently my presence there, even though my presence was warranted by my spending twelve thousand dollars IN CASH on a vehicle, was bothersome. Prior to leaving the dealership lot, I noted that the Chevy Silverado’s ignition sound resembled that of a 1942 Desoto. I ultimately found out that the battery was the causative agent for this problem and returned the vehicle to the dealership the next morning. I had anticipated spending at most one hour at the dealership getting the matter resolved. Three hours passed before I was told that the left front tire had been punctured by the mechanic and that it needed to be replaced. Three hours after I arrived at the place, I finally was able to leave. I was not given any indication of what the mobile auto detailer’s schedule (the schedule of the company that my salesman told me about and had recommended as an “amicable solution” to the problem that Gateway never fixed) was. On 8 November 2012, I was in the vicinity of Gateway Chevrolet and decided to press the issue of repairing the paint damage. Rather than being afforded the opportunity to speak with the auto detailer- the business whom my salesman had given me the business card for- I was simply told to go to Gateway Chevolet’s body shop. To make a long story short, the paint damage,-that which I had asked my original salesman to address prior to my picking the vehicle up-was estimated to be a repair costing in excess of one thousand dollars. I immediately requested an audience with the used car sales supervisor (who, interestingly enough, sneered when I had used the word “grievance” and acted as if he had been selected for jury duty when stepping into his office). I discussed the matter at hand- the cost of the vehicle, that I had paid cash, had been saving for the vehicle for seven months, etc etc. He sneered at me and asked “You paid twelve thousand dollars, right?” I said yes. “You paid twelve thousand dollars.” He asked again. “Yes,” I replied. “You could have easily paid twenty. I would have made you pay twenty if I could have.” “I paid cash. We’re not talking about changing the amount on a bank loan, we’re talking about actual cash that I paid out of pocket. I wouldn’t have paid twenty thousand for this Silverado. ” I answered. The used car manager placed his hands behind his head, rolled his eyes, leaned back in his chair, stared at the ceiling and said, quite frankly, “if you want something normal, you should have paid twenty thousand dollars for a car. If you’re not willing to pay that much money, stop wasting my time and get out of my office.” And so, after announcing my disgust for the used car sales manager’s pomposity and lack of professionalism I walked out of the building. I received an estimate from a reputable body shop no more than ten minutes away from Gateway, and was not entirely surprised that Gateway Chevrolet couldn’t even be bothered to spend five hundred dollars to rectify a paint issue to ensure customer satisfaction. Apparently people have to spend twenty to fifty thousand dollars at Gateway in order to be treated as a human. The used car sales supervisor’s attitude is appalling, and I demand an amicable solution to the detestable and ghastly treatment I have received at the hands of this Chevrolet dealership. More
Mr. Dadisho was absolutely professional. He was not pushy and no pressure. He went above and beyond to ensure our needs. He is the man you need to see. and no pressure. He went above and beyond to ensure our needs. He is the man you need to see. More
I went to this dealership to look at a truck I saw on the internet. I had been in contact with the sales person several times that day and by the time I got there, that vehicle I wanted was "magically sold" internet. I had been in contact with the sales person several times that day and by the time I got there, that vehicle I wanted was "magically sold" so I started looking around the used car lot with Cheryl. One thing I found strange was that every vehicle in the used lot had individual keys and so the sales person had to go back and forth to the showroom and the lot. She made this a big chore and I ended up just looking through the windows of several of the trucks without going into them. She had a 2009 Chevy Silverado pulled up and I loved it. The actual sale of it was so easy, everyone was very friendly and they even had me record a message for their online web stating that "it was so easy." However that was the last "easiest" time I had with them. When we picked up the truck after the detail, there was a chip in the windshield, the car mats were missing, we only received one set of keys and the XM/Satellite radio we were promised did not work. The truck had an after-market stereo but we were promised 3 months free. My salesperson was gone each time I called to get the items I was missing and the chip replaced. My fiance and I have fought with them for over 45 days to get things fixed that should have been fixed a long time ago. (And still waiting!) Bill, the sales manager never returns calls and when he does he keeps forgetting everything we want fixed. This is a truly horrible dealership and I will never give them my business again. They are frauds, liars and just down-right rude. I will let all of my friends and family know of our experience with this dealership. We have 2 years of free oil-changes, but we would rather spend the money then to ever go to this dealership again. More
It is great to work with a dealership that believes in customer care again. I have been dealing with service departments for over 35 years and Eddie Goodwin and his team of service writers and mechanics customer care again. I have been dealing with service departments for over 35 years and Eddie Goodwin and his team of service writers and mechanics are the best i have worked with. They keep you informed, they get the work done the first time and they treat you with respect. I have been dealing with Gateway Chevy's service department for over 6 years and they are the best in the Valley. Keep up the great work. I will tell all of my freinds to come to Gateway for service and to purchase a vehicle as well. More
Took our Pontiac Bonneville in for a brake issue. Needed pads, Rotors etc. However, while working on the vehicle, the service department also noticed that a hub bearing was going bad. The fact that they too pads, Rotors etc. However, while working on the vehicle, the service department also noticed that a hub bearing was going bad. The fact that they took the extra time to look past the initial repairs and make sure to inspect other important safety componants is only one of the many reasons why they are the best! This cost me more money to get repaired but could have possibly saved the life of a loved one. (In our car or another) You cannot put a price on safety... Thank you Eddie and the great folks at Gateway Chevrolet! More
