From start to finish, my experience with Ryan at the car dealership was amazing! I did not expect to have such a pleasant experience at a car dealership. My baby and I were treated with respect and care, I was offered assistance, all of my questions were answered, I was provided a room to breastfeed in, and I was offered food and drink. In every step of the way, Ryan always had patience with me, with a very willing demeanor, and such a positive attitude. All of the staff was very nice and welcoming, but Ryan’s role on this day was pivotal. He helped me jump through every hurdle with ease, comfort, and care. As a first time buyer, buying a car was a huge life decision for me. I have to admit I was a bit hesistant and unknowledgeable about everything. I thank God that Ryan was there for my family and I on that day. We left the dealership happy and with a new car. I have been calling multiple times and get no help at all. There has been multiple occasions where they tell me they will be sending it and receive no updates regarding the delivery. I’m tired of the lies and lack of effort from this dealership. i just want my key that the dealership promised me when i bought my car. Sadly standard dealership practice. From derating trade in and inflating vehicle sold when the same tool is used for both (Kelly Blue Book etc). Jerome (Internet Sales Manager) and "the manager" who Jerome had to prepose my offer to were condescending. Said my trade-in was worthless and would most likely be sold to scrap and that's why they couldn't offer more for the trade. Kelly had average trade which was double their offer, yet they wanted thousands more for the vehicle I purchased than what Kelly showed for dealership pricing. Fair pricing should be just that, "FAIR PRICING". I know it's a cardinal sin to reveal all my cards on the table but I answered Jerome's questions when asked before driving to the dealership. (pre-qualified financing through my own institution that I have trusted for thirty plus years, $10,000 debit transfer down). In exchange I requested a speedy process. Does six hours seem like a speedy process to you? That's preposterous. Both of the kids were pushy for me to sign the bottom line and except what they offered. The processing fee of $900 plus dollars is a rip off and they knew it because it took only a few seconds for them to strike that off the deal. Jerome scoffed an eye when i told him I was only financing for a short term and tried to put me down for securing my own financing by saying that they aren't making much money on the deal because they weren't even getting the finance charges. Fine and dandy. They, nor I, make the rules of vehicle purchasing. If the option to get my own financing is available then so be it. They insisted I get OnStar activated even though I didn't want it and don't care. That added time to my stay there. The xx vehicle eching scam is a joke and was already done on the vehicle. Another Jerome comment was how much work was done to the vehicle once the dealership got it to prepare it to be sold and that there was significant value added to the sale of the vehicle because of it. I sad back that its the cost to make it marketable and not my problem. Lets face it, this was a fleet vehicle used who knows how and had issues. My guess is it was purchased at auction "as is" for a reasonable price that would yield a good profit to the dealership but of course "The consumer will never know that information". Once I caved to the bottom line offered, Jerome wanted me to sign below "Purchaser agrees to pay $xxxx dollars today" or some such jargon. I resisted at first because I knew he was just going to walk 15 feet to "the manager" but he said "why won't you sign if you agree with this offer?" FINE. Not like I didn't sign the "ACTUAL" sales page later anyway. That's get me to paperwork. The amount of paperwork is a nightmare. The registry, financing and insurance respectively only need title transfer request (both vehicles if there is a trade-in, bill of sale and odometer statement. All of the rest has nothing to do with protecting me. ALL to protect the dealer which is not needed anyway because of State and Federal laws. I was WAY PAST annoyed at this point. This is why the second my hand hits the dealership's door handle, I wish I didn't need a newer vehicle EVER. My financing through my bank was all set to go and I had two choices, and electronic transfer to the dealership or a check mailed priority to the dealership with a two day estimate. I asked Jerome which was preferred and he said "mailed check" so that's what I did. Well before leaving when I thought all was almost done, he says they can't let me take possession of the vehicle until they have the money. two hours to get there. How likely was my gas and time going to compensated because he screwed up? We know that answer, don't we?. Fast forward to the option they said would work, secure financing approval through the dealership which I reluctantly did. Say hello to THREE hard hits on my "above 800 credit score" and goodbye to that score for a while. review length reached sadly but there is MUCH more. More

I would like to share my experience with Ken Garff Gateway Chevrolet so that other buyers can be aware and carefully review their paperwork before signing. I was very happy with my salesperson and prefer not to mention his name, as he treated me well throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience with the Finance Director, Razz, was much different. After purchasing my vehicle, I discovered that $7,594.95 in additional products and services had been added to my loan without my full understanding or agreement. These charges included: • Opt GAP Contract – $1,200.00 • Kornerstone Advantage Care – $209.95 • Kornerstone VSC – $4,995.00 • Kornerstone App Shield – $595.00 • Pladtech – $595.00 To be fair, my salesperson explained that the Pladtech product could not be removed, and that was the only additional product I agreed to keep. Chevrolet agreed to cancel the remaining products and issue a refund, but more than a month later my loan balance has still not been credited. When I contacted Capital One, I was informed that the dealership must send the refund check before the credit can be applied to my account. I was told by Reeze that the process could take up to 90 days. I explained that receiving this credit is important because I am currently trying to purchase a home, but I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously. My advice to anyone purchasing a vehicle from this dealership is to carefully review every document and every product being added to your loan before signing. It could save you significant time, money, and frustration. More
