Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. We want you to become a part of the Gateway Chevrolet family, and believe, just as Joe Gambino, Sr did, that a family run business is the best type of business.
A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

The Service I recieved was fair.I thought it would be better I got an oil change, my tires rotated, and a car wash. Oil change went well but paperwork said you guys rotated my tired but did not. I only know because I believe I have to tires that have a air leaks and both tires were kept in the same spot because they still leak the same tires. Also I can visually see the same tires as they are a little discolored from the others. The service man asked if I wanted to throw in a free wash but I got my car back dirtier than from when I first arrived. More

Not coming back I went to have a noise checked in my brakes was told it’s normal to hear noises from brakes when it’s not. I read my owner’s manual and it stated the noise is a warning that the brakes are going out. I don’t believe the dealership actually drove my car to hear the noise I was talking about because my normal mechanic was able to hear the noise but supposedly the dealership couldn’t. Well you aren’t going to hear the noise when you drive with the ac at the highest setting. I’m not satisfied at all and I’m done coming to gateway in general because I’ve had nothing but bad service since getting my car. I will be going to another dealership from now on. More
