Joe Gambino, Sr has had a passion for cars since he was a young boy. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York he was afforded many opportunities, but none compared to his dreams of one day owning his own car dealership.
In 1956 Mr. Gambino and his wife moved to Phoenix, AZ and purchased Bobby Unser Chevrolet in 1983. The store was renamed Joe Gambino Chevrolet shortly thereafter. For years, Mr. Gambino lived the life he had always dreamed of and enjoyed the privilege of being the furthest Chevrolet dealer west in the country. People flocked from miles around to visit Joe Gambino Chevrolet because of their honest, up-front business model: We're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.At Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet, we believe a trusting relationship with our customers is the best way to run a business. We don't just want one-time customers; we want you to purchase vehicles from us for generations to come. We want you to become a part of the Gateway Chevrolet family, and believe, just as Joe Gambino, Sr did, that a family run business is the best type of business.
A lot of things have changed over the years, but two things remain the same. A family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and greater Arizona area, and our philosophy: we're not completely satisfied until you're completely satisfied.
In 1997, Joe Gambino Chevrolet became Gateway Chevrolet and in January 2002, they moved from their old location on East Van Buren to a brand-new state of the art facility in the Avondale Automall located at 9901 W. Papago Freeway. The new location provided expanded service bays, comfortable customer areas and even more room for inventory; but most importantly, an ease of business that can only be translated into happy customers.Joe Gambino, Sr has a son Joseph (or Joe Jr.) Joe Jr's affinity for rare automobiles and to be just like his dad led him into the business at a young age. When Joe Jr was 23, he became a sales person at Gateway Chevrolet. His determination for success and perfection led him up through the ranks until 2010 when he became the General Manager of Gateway Chevrolet. Committed to selling cars at a great price and maintaining a positive relationship with the community, Joe Gambino, Jr. and Joe Gambino's Gateway Chevrolet have become a staple in the Phoenix and Greater Arizona area.

I usually never do reviews because i always have a good experience, but this time was the opposite, the guy that tried helping me almost got me scammed, i don’t know if it was the mechanic or Cody Mills. Long story short; They wanted me to pay $1700 for an “electric issue “ that my car had which i refused, i take my car where i originally purchased it from and it was literally just a light bulb, i don’t know how you called that, but ill leave it to you guys personal interpretation. I gan easily sue you guys. But i at least want an answer. My car is great right now, no issues at all, after 2 weeks that i change the light bulb, when you guys told me it was an electric issue. More

PArts had to ordered to replace on my Colorado. I was kept informed about the status of the delivery. When all parts were received my Service Tech Josh Ballard reached out and we set up a date fo I was kept informed about the status of the delivery. When all parts were received my Service Tech Josh Ballard reached out and we set up a date for install. Ont of the parts was defective out of the box. Replacement was ordered and received overnight. Installed the following day. Truck was ready by noon washed and ready. Great job. Customer service in my eyes makes or breaks a dealership. Great work. More
