Was involved in an accident, the insurance company sent me to Gates in Granger for a vehicle inspection and estimate. Gates fixed up my bumper, and detailed my entire car. This experience has been frustrating to say the least. I brought my car in last week because the check engine light was on. They called within an hour and told me it was a cylinder 2 misfire and charged m I brought my car in last week because the check engine light was on. They called within an hour and told me it was a cylinder 2 misfire and charged me $400 to change the spark plugs. I was not told there was a shuttle, so I had to send someone else to pick up my car and I got an uber home from work to make sure I had my car for work on Friday. On the way home from work on Friday, my check engine light came on again. I brought my car in and was told it was the same error as the previous day. Since I had to go out of town, I asked for a loaner or a rental car. I was told they could not do anything for me but I should be ok to drive my car to Chicago and back on Saturday and they offered to reset the check engine light if it bothered me to have it on. I brought my car back on Monday to have it looked at again. I called half way through the day and was told they had taken out my spark plugs to look in my engine and found coolant in my engine. They informed me it was not safe to drive my car and that they would need to dismantle my engine and send info to Hyundai to determine if the issue was under warranty. I do not understand why my engine wasn’t checked the first time I had it there. There’s been no help in getting a loaner or a rental. They just keep telling me there is nothing they can do. I’m supposed to go out of town tomorrow so I’m left trying to figure out how I’m going to get to my destination since there’s still no loaner car and the claim for the engine wasn’t just submitted today. I’ve spent nearly $100 taking Ubers to work and I’m irritated. The manager has been no help. I tried to call corporate and no one called me back. This has not been a good experience and I’m incredibly disappointed. More
