I recently began shopping for a new vehicle. I wanted a new truck and I had a very specific feature set because not only will this truck help me with property maintenance, it also will serve as back up tra new truck and I had a very specific feature set because not only will this truck help me with property maintenance, it also will serve as back up transportation for me and my spouse-so things like navigation and 4x4 features matter. I also wanted a bed liner and a v6 engine. Nissan Frontiers made my short list and I started looking for a dealer. Nearly every dealer I talked to was happy to have me come in to put my name on a list or to give them money as deposit on a truck they didn't have. And then I found Gates Nissan in North Windham and Veronica. Veronica was very patient and answered all of my questions. She was always looking to clarify what I needed and why certain things mattered-like why Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wouldn't work for me (I'm often in locations that don't have cell service) and why I wanted heated steering wheel and seats. And she listened to my concerns. She helped my find a vehicle to test drive and I loved it and bought it on the spot! It has everything I need and nothing I don't. And I was able to get a bed extender which showed up super fast! More than anything else though is the way Veronica and the dealer made me feel. I can afford whatever car I want mostly but I would still like to be treated like a person. Gates made me feel that way. They weren't treating me like a number and I never felt pressured. It seemed like they genuinely care whether my needs are met-not like another dealer in Middletown who told me they had a truck in stock , advertised a price and then when I visited told me they did not have a truck that met my specs, and they were going to charge something called a "market adjustment" which is just price gouging! Not Gates, there was no markup and no baloney, just nice people helping me get my truck. I literally love my truck, it's exactly what I've always wanted and it was Gates and Veronica that helped me get it. Can't say enough good things about the whole experience and the people involved. Just a great small town dealership with big town customer service! More
