Incorrect Gasket was installed causing repeat failure Had a head gasket changed on my 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9L Cummins. The gasket failed again after 3000 miles. The repair tech and the service rep knew Had a head gasket changed on my 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 5.9L Cummins. The gasket failed again after 3000 miles. The repair tech and the service rep knew that the head had fire rings machined in it, and specifically indicated that the correct fire ring type gasket was ordered and installed. I removed the head this past weekend only to find out that they used a normal OEM type head gasket instead of the correct fire ring type. In essence they lied about using the correct type gasket. The initial repair bill was $2500, and they installed the incorrect gasket and lied to me about it. Unfortunately, I live about 300 miles from Gastonia, or I would have just taken it back to them to have them deal with it. Service rep is named Keith. Update: I emailed pictures and screenshots of texts between myself and the service rep. They were forwarded to one of the service managers. He called and left a voicemail, and I returned his call and also left a voicemail. That was a couple weeks ago and I have not heard back from them. Upon further inspection of the head after I removed it, it is evident that machine work was never done on the surface, yet I was charged $375 for machine work. Again, I have photographic evidence of this, and would post it, but it not an option on this site. More

Danny took time to search the lot and inventory and found 2013 used van in excellent shape and before I left the lot I had purchased this van. Unsatisfied Customer I have been a customer of this dealership for about 15 years. The past 2 cars I have purchased from here have gave me nothing but problems, but this l I have been a customer of this dealership for about 15 years. The past 2 cars I have purchased from here have gave me nothing but problems, but this last one has been ridiculous and I am getting no help what so ever from the service department on fixing the problem. I have a 2013 Avenger and approximately a year after having the car I starting having problems with it, off and on, not shifting past 2nd gear but once you turn the car off and cranked it back up it would be fine. I took it to the Dodge place and they asked me if I was sure I had it in the right gear!! Finally one day it done it to me and the service dept. was still open so I had to risk driving my car to the dealership for them to see what I was talking about. This time they replaced a part on it and sent me on my way. A couple months later it done it again so I had risk driving it yet again to the dealership. Of course this time they plugged it in and got a code. I had to wait a few days and take it back for them to give me a rental car so they could try to figure out what was going on. In the end, they changed the computer in my car. They had my car for 2 weeks. They had two Avengers in the dealership with the same issue. I pick my car up and notice now it is shifting gears harder than it was before and the brake light kept coming on so I had to make an appt. for a oil change and for them to check on these problems. They said the brake light was because the brake fluid was low and the transmission that I have in my car shifts harder than other cars do!! These are all unacceptable excuses to me. My car never shifted like this before. They do not seem to want to listen to the customer, the person that drives the car and knows how the car runs on a daily basis!!! Will be trading this car in soon but will not be at this dealership or for a Dodge!!! More

My husband explained our previous issue to Steve Ross in sales, who listened to his concerns and acknowledged why we were hesitant to return. Steve was so honest and forthright as he shared his understanding of the history and explained the new ownership's focus on customer service. He was responsive and exchanged multiple emails, phone calls, and visits with my husband. Steve's sincerity is what sold us on trying them again for service on my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. Steve connected us with Lee Hyde in the service department, who agreed to work me in on a busy Saturday and to honor a service coupon from a nearby Chrysler dealership. Gary Holder was an efficient service advisor who heard my needs and offered reasonable service options in response. The car was finished in the quoted window of time. My only suggestion for improvement would have been Gary pointing us in the right direction to find my car when we picked it up. Fortunately, Steve was around and kindly walked the lot with us to find it. That same afternoon we were warmly greeted by GM Ron Lovelace, who echoed Steve's appreciation for us trying out their dealership one more time. My husband and I both feel confident that this dealership has undergone a change for the better and now has people on board who are committed to putting the customer first. Steve Ross's integrity is what has sealed the deal for us. More

The gal in the call c On Monday morning (8/17/15) I called to schedule a service appointment to have my rim looked at because I scraped it on a curb. The gal in the call center (I think her name was Maureen) said she would call one of the service advisors and see when the rim guy would be there next. When she got back on the phone she said I was in luck if I could come in that day because the rim guy was there. I told her I could come on my lunch break around Noon and she said that was fine because he usually doesn't leave until 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. I told her I had an hour round trip drive and I needed her to confirm he would be there when I arrived at Noon because I was taking time out of my work day. She put me on hold again and when she came back she said she had confirmed it with Keith and that I was good to go...she said just check in with Keith when I got there. When I arrived, Keith told me the rim guy had just left and he had no idea where he went or if/when he'd be back. I was very upset and explained to him that I had double confirmed my appointment with the gal over the phone. Keith seemed completely unapologetic and finally admitted to me that all he did to "confirm" my appointment was to yell to some of the guys in the shop to ask the rim guy to stick around because someone was coming in (he didn't speak with the rim guy directly and didn't even know his name or the company he was with!). Keith then handed me a business card of who he assumed was the rim guy and told me to just call him and schedule an appointment directly with him at another time. I had already wasted an hour of my work day and I was furious with Keith's apathy so I asked to speak with the Service Manager. Keith informed me he (Lee) was in an internal meeting and couldn't come out for a while. So in the meantime I called the phone number on the business card Keith gave me and the guy who answered said he was the manager of that rim repair shop but none of his guys were at the Gastonia dealership that day so it must have been another company. He also informed me that chrome rims really can't be repaired, they have to be re-plated and that the cost would be similar to just buying a whole new rim. Neither the gal in the call center nor Keith informed me of this and they knew I had chrome rims. Thus, I completely wasted about 2 hours of my work day when I could have just called the parts department and ordered a new rim. I traded voicemails with Lee, the Service Manager who was too busy to meet with me, but never did get in touch with him. I've been to that service department numerous times now and every single time they've messed something up, causing me additional trips. The entire service team displays an apathy towards customer service I've never seen before. My best friend is the Parts & Service Director for another dealership (Honda) and unless I absolutely have to go to Dodge, I will now go to her dealership for all of my future service needs on my Challenger because they offer such superior service. The Dodge dealership in Gastonia has completely lost my respect and service business. More
