I brought my Jeep in for service because I heard a popping or rubbing noise in the rear. The service dept found after examination that one of the rear shocks was blown out. I don't know the correct terminology but the shock is broken and needs to be replaced. The service department representative said that they would try to find one to replace it. He said he would call and let us know when he located one. After more than a couple of weeks, we had not heard from him so we started calling the dealership to see if he had found one. We had to make several calls to finally get someone to call us back. He said he could not locate a replacement shock. He told us that Carolina Customs in Cornelius, NC had originally installed the shocks. They are FOX 2.5Performance Internal By-Pass Shocks. They were on the Jeep when I bought it and were listed as standard equipment on the invoice in the window. We were told that we could call them directly and have the broken shock replaced. We did that but they have never returned our calls. We think there is some sort of problem between your dealership and Carolina Customs and we are caught in the middle. I don't feel safe pulling a trailer because it is hazardous. I am afraid it may lean to one side and cause me to lose control of the vehicle. I feel like your dealership has neglected to follow up on a warranty issue and hope I will get discouraged and be forced to replace the shock myself. I would like to have a response from you. I don't know what else to do. More
