I was wowed On 10/6/14 I brought my Challenger in for an oil change, etc. and when it was finished, I asked one of the sales guys (Gerald Morrison was who helped On 10/6/14 I brought my Challenger in for an oil change, etc. and when it was finished, I asked one of the sales guys (Gerald Morrison was who helped me) to run it through the car wash for me. We got to chatting about some of the car's technological features I wasn't aware of, and after the wash Gerald parked my car and sat with me and showed me all sorts of its helpful functions. I had not bought my car from him nor was I buying anything from him that day, he just took this time to help me out of the goodness of his heart. I was absolutely wowed by the experience and shared it with my friends and family. Finance Manager Problems My fiance and I decided it was time for new vehicles so we drove around until we found two at Gastonia CJD. Our salesman, Greg Stiehler, was very cou My fiance and I decided it was time for new vehicles so we drove around until we found two at Gastonia CJD. Our salesman, Greg Stiehler, was very courteous and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about him. He went out of his way on several occasions to help us on our two purchases. Best Salesman Ever! Our problem started when we met the finance manager, Dean Ivestor. He was courteous at first but misled us (LIED TO US!!) on the APR of our vehicles. Then he proceeded to mislead us (LIE TO US AGAIN!!) on the service plan offered. He said it covered all oil changes, trans services, tire rotations, radiator flushes etc, etc for five years. After reading the ten page contract at home, I discovered that it only covers oil changes. All this was taking place late on a Sunday night. I felt bad for keeping them so late and rushed through my paperwork and contract without reading the actual numbers. Dean insisted he was using another bank for my fiance's vehicle and said we would finish hers Monday. My fiance returned Monday evening just minutes before me. Dean had her in his office pushing her to sign the contract & other paperwork before I arrived. She declined because the payment was nearly $100 higher than Dean had promised us. After I arrived, I took a close look at the contract and he had added nearly $4000 worth of GAP insurance, 100k mile extended warranty & a service plan. What really got to me is the fact the vehicle came with a 100k mile factory warranty. After declining to pay for any of those things, he started questioning the insurance we have on her vehicle. He seemed agitated and insisted we didn't have the coverage we claimed to have. We sat in his office for 45 minutes with our insurance company on speaker phone so he could hear both sides of the conversation. During this time he twice attempted to get my fiance alone by telling me ,"You can go" as if I were being dismissed by a superior. After finally purchasing her vehicle, I decided to go over the contract on my vehicle very closely. I discovered Dean had included a 100k mile extended warranty on my vehicle which cost $2500. My vehicle also comes with a factory 100k mile warranty which makes this extended warranty essentially useless. There were more misleading statements and distasteful comments from Dean, but I believe I have gotten my point across. Dealing with Dean Ivestor is a bad idea that can cost you THOUSANDS of dollars. More
