Dishonest dealership. Looking for a Ram TRX. Price was 15k over MSRP. Inquired about the truck and the eprice came back at MSRP. Made an appointment to make a deal and the salesman was 8 minutes late. 15k over MSRP. Inquired about the truck and the eprice came back at MSRP. Made an appointment to make a deal and the salesman was 8 minutes late. When I showed him the eprice in the email he said it was a glitch and told me to make an offer over MSRP. Walked out and I wouldn’t buy a matchbox car from Gary Mathews! More
Alright so it's easiest to start this story here and then post it to other review sites as I go (thank the gods for long drives and time to kill) So before we moved Kyles truck started having issues with sch post it to other review sites as I go (thank the gods for long drives and time to kill) So before we moved Kyles truck started having issues with school and the move we chose to take it to Gary Mathews Motors after a few months of back and forth with the engine place we were finally told 3 weeks ago the engine would be in and it would be done by end of week... As the end of the week approached we called and were told they ran into an issue and have to get a part so next week, ok fine then they ordered the wrong thing so we were told the next week (this past weekend) after work we get on the road and begin the 5.5 hour drive we call as we get started and we're told nope it's not going to be done Friday but FOR SURE Monday... ok we're irritated but we adjust so I take a day off work we make the drive Sunday after I get off work. Monday afternoon we walk into the shop and the engine isn't even in the truck and the service guy at the desk laughs when we ask is that truck going to be done today and says no maybe tomorrow. At this point we're livid because 3 weeks of us having to call for updates and being left in the dark. After we talk to the man in charge of services they send a shuttle down for the addtl prt they needed now and have a tech work over to ensure it's done Tuesday. Finally Tuesday 3 pm we have our truck back in our possession! You would think this is where the story ends but of course it doesn't... We look over the truck and the driver side headlight it scratched incredibly bad so we show them and they tell us oh those are after market it's heat damage (pictured is the light) heat damage would not put external gouges in a headlight and when you wipe it you wouldn't feel fiberglass shards. Then they have their "light specialist" come look and he says oh that's heat or chemical damage and I explained exactly what I stated above. He walks away pst my brother and says "that fat xxxxx needs to shut her mouth" while the owner of Gary Mathews SON laughs at this statement. This whole ordeal has caused financial loss and unnecessary stress to our family and then to top it off the blatant disrespect from someone who works with/for Gary Mathews. I'm sorry for the long read but I beg of you if you got this far please spread the word to other families especially Military families to take their business elsewhere unless you want your wives or daughters disrespected as I was today. There's been no communication since all of this occurred so there for I am taking it to social media platforms to ensure the word is spread on the experience that we had. More
Good morning, sad to say that on most occasions I don’t even bother to leave a negative review but today I feel it’s important to make others aware of this. I purchased a $170 navigation update for my husb even bother to leave a negative review but today I feel it’s important to make others aware of this. I purchased a $170 navigation update for my husbands Dodge Ram and in order for me to use the software I have to download the most updated Uconnect version, I called the dealership to do the update on our truck and Mr Ryan says that if they do the update there is a big chance that our radio won’t work afterwards and I would have to buy a new one. I called another dealership and was told there was no such thing probably they just didn’t want to do the update for me :( very very disappointed if indeed that was the case. Will definite reconsider taking our truck there for service if they would lie about something soo insignificant More
I took my vehicle into Gary Mathew Motor, 3 TIMES! For a cracking noise when I turn the steering wheel. In June, they diagnosed my vehicle with bad calipers (I just had them replaced!) Problem still there. cracking noise when I turn the steering wheel. In June, they diagnosed my vehicle with bad calipers (I just had them replaced!) Problem still there. Took it back and now diagnosed with needing new struts. Replaced those and after a couple days the problem continued!! Now, they want to charge me 600.00 to fix it a third time!! NOW saying bad ball joint complete guesses?! I had this issue raised up the ladder to corporate and was ONLY offered a waived diagnostic fee. They feel that this is a "new" issue since it's been 90 days. Nevermind a current pandemic and no available appointments for 30 days!!! My issue has the SAME..exact...presentation!! So because their mechanics suck I have to pay to have this fixed (somewhere else!!) AGAIN!! HORRIBLE MECHANICS AND ADMINISTRATION!!! More

Screwed during service I took my 2015 Ram 2500 in for it's 120,000 service and knew before hand that it would be a pretty penny but not to the sum of $1049.00 After reviewin I took my 2015 Ram 2500 in for it's 120,000 service and knew before hand that it would be a pretty penny but not to the sum of $1049.00 After reviewing the invoice I saw that I was charged $140.50 twice for fuel filter changes. I know there are two filters and I buy OEM Factory filters for $90.00 for the set. I called their parts department and was told that one filter is $93.00 and the other is $77.85 yet they charged me $98.99 and $82.99. Then I called the service manager who told me that they are billed differently and they are listed at $134.00 a piece. I said, "wait a minute, you are going to go into your parts department and get the exact same filter that I would pay would pay $93.00 if I bought it over the counter and you're going to raise the price $41.00 because you're getting it and then charge me and he said yes. That is complete xxxxxxxx, I will NEVER take my vehicles to them again and I will NEVER buy another truck from them. I have been a loyal customer for 15 years but that ends today. I will also never recommend them to another person again. I understand that mechanics have to paid, that's what the $115 an hour rate is for but that doesn't mean you get to screw over your customers. More

I DO NO NOT RECOMMEND PAUL HORTON!!! First off I just want to say that I do not believe in giving a bad review without giving a little background to the story along with the full story so First off I just want to say that I do not believe in giving a bad review without giving a little background to the story along with the full story so this review is lengthy. I recently took my car in for service because I had a tire sensor stop working. Luckily it was covered under my warranty and they were able to get my vehicle fixed and back to me the same day. A few days after my visit I received a call from a lady from the dealership wanting to know if I would be interested in getting my vehicle appraised and possibly trade it in for another vehicle. I told her that the phone call was very well timed because I had been shopping around. We scheduled the appointment for the next night once I was off work. She instructed me to go to the new building. We got there about 5 minutes before my appointment because traffic was bad (I like to arrive earlier than that). We walked in to the new building and a gentleman instantly saw us and asked are you here to buy a vehicle today but not in a friendly tone. I told him possibly and that I was contacted by a lady who set up an appointment for me to get my vehicle appraised for a trade in. He then said oh no you’re in the wrong area you need to go to the used car building across the way. I explained to him she told me to come to the new building. So we went over to the used car building and they instructed me to go to the services department. Although once we got over near the services department we realized they closed an hour prior. So we went back into the new building and told someone we had an appointment with Paul because at this point I remembered that the lady told me to ask for Paul. (I guess the mistake on my part was not remembering his name to begin with). Because come to find out the salesman that first spoke with us was Paul. So I suppose Paul did not get the memo that I was meeting with him to get my vehicle appraised. He continued to ask me what kind of vehicle I currently owned, how much I still owed on it, and what I was looking for in a car. He didn’t seem very happy when I told him what I still owed on my vehicle and just gave off a vibe that it was a waste of his time. If I hadn’t spent 30 minutes driving across town to get my vehicle appraised through them I would have walked out because of his attitude. I also continued to explain to him about 3 times that I was looking into possible trading in my vehicle for a smaller suv that was all wheel drive. He then asked for my key and took it over to get appraised. After completing the appraisal he walked back in and told me the value they were willing to give me for my vehicle and then all he asked was what type of car I would be interested in. I explained to him for the 4th time a smaller suv that was all wheel drive. He then went silent as if he didn’t have any recommendations or didn’t want to do a deal with me. I said the only polite thing I could think to say and thanked him and said I would keep looking through their inventory online and see if I could find anything that interested me. I don’t understand why he wasn’t eager enough to assist me in trading in my vehicle or at least giving me a couple recommendations about possible vehicles I may like. In my opinion he works there and he should know the inventory very well. From his initial misguidance of where I should be for my appraisal, him not connecting that I was there for an appraisal and he has an appointment for an appraisal, and that he seemed highly uninterested in assisting me. This is exactly why I do NOT recommend Paul Horton as your salesman. He does not deserve the business. I didn’t realize you were supposed to come to a car lot knowing the exact car that you would like to purchase. I thought the whole point of a salesperson is for them to sell you on a car once you give them a couple guidelines of what you’re looking for. Other than having a warranty on my current vehicle and getting work done for free at this dealership because of my warranty I will never return to this dealership. (On a side not an older gentleman working at the time did walk through and ask if we wanted a water or anything while we waited. He was a very nice gentleman for asking and I wish he would have been our salesman.) More

Told us it was equipped with navigation. One key should have Untruths told on so many levels. Two trips and still no help. Insurance sold that doesn't cover anything the manufacturer doesn't.
