Working with Gardena Honda to buy a used car from them was a nightmare. At every step, I was given assurances that the process would be one way when it was in fact the opposite. 1) The online price was no was a nightmare. At every step, I was given assurances that the process would be one way when it was in fact the opposite. 1) The online price was not actually available without days of haggling; 2) when it was finally offered, I was forced into taking out a loan for it even though I wanted to pay for the car in full with cash; 3) I was told the loan would be through one company, when it was actually through another; 4) I was told to unfreeze one credit agency, when it should have been another; 5) signed all the paperwork and was told told nothing else for me to do but wait for the loan; 6) after more than a week of waiting with no contact from lender or dealership, or even any info on who the lender was so I could attempt to contact them, was forced to go into the dealership to find a way to pay off car bc no one answers or returns calls, and was told again nothing to do; 7) another week, now told I need to give social security card for loan, which meant I needed to order a replacement card from SSA; 8) after finally getting the card and bringing it in, was finally told I could pay cash, but only if I paid by personal check that day; 9) wrote a check and explained that the funds would take 2-3 days to transfer to my checking account; 10) was promised check wouldn’t be an issue bc they weren’t going to cash for ten days; they cashed it immediately and it was denied for insufficient funds; 11) finally told to pay with cashiers check after over a month of back and forth and jumping through hoops for a car I wanted to pay for in cash on day one; 12) throughout this time I left countless unanswered calls, messages, and emails, only to be gaslighted and told the last day that my “unresponsiveness” was the reason for the delay. Thankfully this place is located close to where I live or I would have been able to go in at least ten times to try to resolve the major issue of PAYING FOR THE CAR(!) This place is run by a bunch of young know nothings who fail to take responsible or initiative and constantly point to some other middleman as being the reason for a problem. More
