After they scheduled an appointment to fix a recall problem for my 2012 KIA Sorento upon my arrival I was told the parts weren’t available in the parts department. I had to return the following week to fix the repair. They made the first appointment “without confirming” they had the necessary parts in their stock. Totally unacceptable! More
Went for a recall notice, everything went fine on this visit but it would be helpful for all if the service reps knew what the recall was about, the issue that was being corrected and how it was corrected visit but it would be helpful for all if the service reps knew what the recall was about, the issue that was being corrected and how it was corrected. Our instance involved the parking break light which started coming on before and after we started and turned off the car, which it never did before. I called the dealer and asked our rep and he said he wasn’t sure why the light would be doing that so I drove back to the dealer to have it looked at. one rep said I would need another appointment so I said I already told our rep we were on our way. Long story short our rep talked with a service guy and he told me the light is what was updated for the recall, that the parking break light now turns on as a precaution so the car does not roll away. Okay good to know. Would have been good to have been told this before or after our visit and for the rep to know so I wouldn’t have to have driven all the way back to the dealer. The rep did apologize that he wasn’t able to have told me before driving back because he wasn’t sure himself. So once again it would have been helpful if the reps were aware if the recall issue. We ran into him in March at the dealer ship and he showed us so many vehicles. What stood out the most was how he didn't pressure us the entire time. He didn't come off as a sales man, he came off as a person. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and patient with us asking g a million questions. We ended up waiting for the 2025 hybrid sorento that wasn't in stock until late April. He would still check in periodically, but keep it super casual and again DIDNT PRESSURE ME! He knew we were locked in! I had been scrolling through the Kia website and had so many dealerships reach out but i was persistent on working with him because he was so great. Fast forward to yesterday, he found the literal car of our dreams. Safe to say we are in love with this vehicle. He 100% delivered the utmost satisfaction. We had other choices in mind like Honda, but besides falling in love with the car, we definitely chose Kia because of the outstanding customer service with Sam. Thank you for everything! More
