Service Center can make or break a dealership Michael Aktay has always been present at all of my service visits, whether I am his customer or not. He is always so professional, kind & attentive to Michael Aktay has always been present at all of my service visits, whether I am his customer or not. He is always so professional, kind & attentive to everyone. His presence, positive attitude and wonderful personality is a real asset to Mazda. When my niece and her husband were thinking of getting a Mazda CX 5, I told them everything I knew from my extensive research on small SUVs. I narrowed it down to a Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tucson and Mazda CX5. Subaru was too expensive & you couldn't even get exactly what you wanted because of demand. The Hyundai test drive was really nice, it handled really well & I had the Elantra, then traded up to the Elantra Touring BUT over the years a once excellent service department had devolved into mayhem. Mazda CX5 had it all so I purchased the vehicle in 2016. The Mazda service department is everything Hyundai's used to be and more. People have busy lives and enough problems, a smooth positive service experience is important. Mazda service values it's customers time. Too bad Michael Aktay can't be cloned, but that's ok his positivity & professionalism is contagious & is a fine example for his co-workers. P.S.- My niece got the CX5 & the service department has excellent coffee! More

They type of experience you deserve I believe Garden City Mazda is a dealership that you can trust and that’s a very important quality to find when you are searching for a new car. I nev I believe Garden City Mazda is a dealership that you can trust and that’s a very important quality to find when you are searching for a new car. I never once felt over pressured or fast talked. They worked on my timeline not theirs and produced all that was promised. I have interactions with several people there including the service department (for an add on) and everyone was as friendly and helpful as the other. I highly recommend giving them a chance, they deserve it! More
How to Recover with Flair I would like to thank Michael Aktay in the service department for his exceptional handling of my visit. There were two issues that arose during my rou I would like to thank Michael Aktay in the service department for his exceptional handling of my visit. There were two issues that arose during my routine oil change. The first issue was the service length of time was longer than explained to me. Mike realised this and offered me 2 free car wash vouchers because he respected my time waiting. The 2nd issue was that the mechanic assigned to my car went missing for about 20 minutes, Mike was unable to find him in the shop. When he finally returned and started to work on my car to replace a taillight bulb, the lens cracked and added more time to the service. Mike again stepped up and offered to pay for my oil change. It wasn't about the money for me, it was that Mike showed genuine concern for my time , communicated clearly,and offered to do what he could to recover the situation. Well done sir! More

He proved to be very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent road test experience. Ultimately we needed to negotiate price and he seemingly went to bat for us with the manager. I think we arrived at a good price and the delivery experience was excellent. Hats off to Mazda as we have been loyal Honda customers for 20 years. More
