Buyer beware! We just went to lease a car this past weekend. After deciding on a car and negotiating, we asked for a breakdown of the charges ie. down payment, tax We just went to lease a car this past weekend. After deciding on a car and negotiating, we asked for a breakdown of the charges ie. down payment, taxes, dmv fees so that we could bring a certified check in, we were told they couldn’t give it to us. Having leased many cars, we thought that was strange. We went over the charges with the salesman and he verbally agreed to the numbers. When we got to the dealership to pick up the car, there were additional charges of $2,500.00 added to the bill. Then, they have the finance guy come in and try and “make it right”. After threatening to walk, they cut all but $560.00 of the fees. Needless to say, they have lost any future business from us. More
