Made me come in 3 days and wait total of 10+ hours only to backtrack on terms at the finance table. Claimed that credit card deposit refunds must be requested in person and after doing just that, no confir to backtrack on terms at the finance table. I spoke to Cesar briefly and he told me that there was already a deposit on it and he'd call me back if it was available. 10 minutes later he called me and said he can get the process started as the car was available. MSRP Mazda 3 for $28,715. I sent my drivers license and all of the information he requested. I am familiar with cars and have purchased many different cars before so this process was relatively straight forward. On Saturday 3/25 I went into the dealership to go pick up the car and get the finance documents signed and finalized. We waited for about 2 and a half hours at Cesars desk. He was being very nice and helpful setting up the apps, letting me know some features, etc. I go upstairs to finance and start signing documents. As a previous purchaser off many different makes and models at dealerships before I was waiting for the document that shows each and every itemized price, tax, fee that shows you your run down on how much you will be paying for everything including financing. I asked him wait, this isn't adding up? What's going on? He turns his monitor around and they showed me that they were actually charging me over $3,500 over MSRP for the car. This translated to more because of taxes. Cesar comes upstairs when challenging this and explains it's a "Mazda dealer fee and it says it on their website." For 2 and a half hours we sat at this dealer explaining every little part of the deal and car but left out the part that they were going to overcharge me 3k. LOOK AT YOUR FINANCE DOCUMENT next time you sit down here. Or if you've purchased a car in the past. They put the sales tax then total wit hit added instead of putting the price of the car, then the tax, then the total. Jason at finance helped me out and told me that he was going to "fix" this since it wasn't discussed. Today I go over my finance documents while setting up my online account and realize that even after "fixing it" there is a missing $1000+ out of the total price that went hidden and lost in fees or whatever scam they're running. Mark ups are well known factor in purchasing a car during covid times. COVID times are over. There are still low inventories for cars but most dealers will at least DISCUSS this with you and not try to hide them in shady ways on the contracts. Today I tried calling them to discuss the discrepancy in my financing. 17 phone calls later and I was being ducked. I couldn't even speak to a manager. I finally got ahold of Jason when I told them I'll just come in person if they keep hanging up on me. He sent me the final itemized invoice that was conveniently left out even after everything. OF COURSE, to without my knowledge, they left out a $1895 "BANK ACQUISITION FEE". In what world do you charge almost $2000 for this? These shameless people are scamming hardworking, everyday people who are just excited to buy a car recovering in post covid circumstances. In hard, uncertain economic times. This is my third mazda and my brother just bought one in November from a different dealer and NOTHING like this was experienced. Keep in mind that NONE OF THIS was shown on my invoice. NONE of this was discussed. It was all done under the table. MY FINAL agreement that I signed NEVER ONCE mentions any of the markup or the $1895. If I knew this I could have gotten a better car at my usual Mazda dealership. Garden City Mazda, say hello to everyone I will share this to on multiple different outlets. More

This is my second time that I have purchased car from Garden City of Mazda. It was the best experience the second time around. To whom it’s may concern, I leased a car from Garden City Mazda in Hempstead, New York. I did not have a good experience and wouldn’t suggest anyone else to shop there. They are bunch of thieves workin City Mazda in Hempstead, New York. I did not have a good experience and wouldn’t suggest anyone else to shop there. They are bunch of thieves working there if they shake your hand make sure you get all your finger back I went there on 9/4/22 Sunday before Labor Day. I chose CX5 for my wife to lease and they gave me figures. When I came back they charged me more money on my contract and didn’t give me money for my trade in car. And they didn’t give me credit for my down payment and also they charged me $1126 more in lease contract I spoke to many people there and no one admit to there wrong doing. More
Avoid the Garden City Mazda dealership at all costs. The customer service I received at this location was by far the worst I have ever experienced in the car industry. My pregnant wife took her 2021 Maz The customer service I received at this location was by far the worst I have ever experienced in the car industry. My pregnant wife took her 2021 Mazda CX-5 in for service for an oil leak yesterday. After waiting 4 hours at the dealer post our service appointment time, the certified Mazda mechanic sent us video footage upon their inspection of the vehicle stating "The oil isn't leaking too badly, It is an oil seepage.” The service department then informed us that they could not assist us because we did not purchase the vehicle from their location because we lived out of state at the time of purchase. Garden City Mazda advised my pregnant wife that the only way to resolve the issue was for her to drive the vehicle three hours to the Connecticut Mazda dealer where the vehicle was purchased. Despite the certified Mazda mechanic saying in the recorded video that "the oil isn't leaking too badly" the service invoice notes explicitly states the opposite. I will attach a picture of the invoice along with this review as it states "upon inspection did not find any oil leaks." Which completely contradicts the what is stated by the certified Mazda mechanic. If there are truly no oil leaks, why are we being advised to fix the problem at the Connecticut dealership rather than the Garden City location? The service department refused to put in the service invoice notes that they are advising us to return to the dealership in Connecticut where the vehicle was purchased. When we returned to pick up the vehicle, the representative acted as if they were doing us a favor by waiving the $200 diagnostics test as they pushed us out the door. If there isn't a problem that needs to be fixed, why would we need to seek restitution from another dealer when the vehicle is still under warranty? After multiple attempts to contact the service manager JUAN to rectify the situation, he has yet to return any of mine or my wife’s calls or make any effort to contact us and deal with this situation. Reviews will not let me upload the video footage of the mechanical inspection results that contradict what is said on the service invoice. Again, I highly recommend avoiding this dealership for any rendered services if you want to avoid a severe headache. More

They will never disclose basic information about the car you are getting and force you to focus on the monthly payment. They will force you to come in to discuss anything and waste your time. They will overcharge you on fees and PERSUADE you to put money down on something without letting you know the MSRP, MONEY FACTOR, TAX, FEES. They will say their "accounting department is gone" Also they will bait you into saying they don't have your model anymore and offer you a trim higher so you will have to pay more overall. Again focusing on just your monthly payment. LASTLY they are RUDE and DISHONEST. You can and will get a better deal somewhere else. Unless they clean house this location will not improve. More
