I recently picked up a 2010 Jeep Wrangler at Garden City Chrysler and could not be happier. The team was very courteous, especially Tom McGuiness and Marcia Kimmel. Saw a good deal online so emailed and asked if it was still in stock and available. Got an email back saying yes it was. However, the moment we arrived without even bothering to look the car up the fir still in stock and available. Got an email back saying yes it was. However, the moment we arrived without even bothering to look the car up the first person from the new car side started saying "err...well we try to keep on top of online stuff. Hopefully it's still here.." then when they walked over to the used lot without even looking the car up they said "Oh we sold it". Although five minutes later he was talking about "the blue one that was sold" and I said "It was red..." and the salesman said "oh right...er, yeah, that was sold too..." again without looking anything up. Then they offer to let me drive a different car, same year, more mileage, less options, costing $1600 more. I ask them why it costs more and they say the other one is to get people in the door (!!). Then they tell me I can't pay cash, unless I am willing to pay an extra $1200 on top of the price. Then they add $890 in "dealer prep". So I went for a well priced car and ended up only having the option of paying $1600+$1200+$890 over the advertised deal. Their excuse? Even had the original car been available they still would only have sold it to me for the extra $1200 in charges for not financing it and having cash and $890 extra "dealer prep" (they must wash it in evian...) They can wrap it up in "we have to make a profit" as much as you like but the truth is the price is NOT what they advetize. It is at minimum $1200+$890 more. And thats even if the car you went there for is there/exists. Don't bother emailing as they blame this on "oh central office responds they don't have our stock list and then we have to deal with angry customers..." I'm supposed to feel sorry for them when their company wasted my time in coming here? And if they were motivated to do something about it they would! Besides which I finally decided to write this review as I was searching online for the same kind of car and the "internet special" I had gone to see 2 weeks ago was still up. So rather than emailing and getting "central office" I called the dealership used department directly, who had told me 2 weeks ago the car was sold and said I was interested in the car and was it still available. "Sure, it's right here, come on in and take it for a test drive!" I was told. More

Jermal was very helpful throughout the entire process. Helped me price my vehicle with multiple packages to see what I could afford. We also had an issue with the insurance which helped me to clear up. When the time comes again I can definitely see myself working with Mel again since he was so helpful this time. More
Took a while but I got my car. Just another blip on the radar. They tried their best. Price came down after some back and forth. Spent about what I wanted. Would recommend to someone else. Went to service to have my check engine light checked and had to have my emergency brake adjusted. Also wanted to get an extra car key which my salesman said I could get at "cost". Had an 8am appointment , c had to have my emergency brake adjusted. Also wanted to get an extra car key which my salesman said I could get at "cost". Had an 8am appointment , car was checked in , after discussing my problems with Mike he said it would be a short wait. After about 2 hrs my car was ready. When I got the bill Mike adjusted it so I can get the "discount " for the extra key. Got the discount ,no questions asked,very good & prompt work. Too bad Garden City is a distance from me , but I will try to go there as much as I can to keep my car maintained. Thanks again Mike!! More
Yes we went looking not knowing we would buy another mini-van or move to a sedan. Test drive was fine,we got the internet price since I brought in the ad Chris was willing to take our 96 van as a trade-in(not much for it)but it helped with the down payment.We left $100 down(refundable) to sleep on it No hassles or pressure. This was Sunday,on Monday I called him to say we wanted the car, we processed our finances, on Tues we were approved.Weds nite we went to pick-up our new car. Chris put in the showroom so we can truly examine before delivery, car was SHARP!Now the one black eye to this deal was finalizing deal with Allison the finance rep. Very profession lady,pleasant, but she was trying to rush us to sign papers to close deal. we were there to pick up our car but she was more intent to close the deal than customer service. We wanted to read what we were signing ,she claims she had more cars to deliver. We were a bit pissed that we felt we were gettin the bum rush, We were not buying a pair of sneakers or a watch, a car is a major investment. I called Chris the next day to tell him this,he apoligized for her actions & told me she just knows her job very well & forgets that not all customers are familiar with the car buying process,like me who hasnt bought a car in 14 yrs But all in all except for Allison,Garden City is recommened for those who want a no pressure no hassle experience More
I have purchased a couple of new cars from other dealerships over the years and I have to say that I have the most wonderful and enjoyable experience at this dealership. I can honestly say that I h dealerships over the years and I have to say that I have the most wonderful and enjoyable experience at this dealership. I can honestly say that I had fun buying a new car and left with a smile. The whole staff was extremely pleasant, and there was never any pressure. The sales managers were out in the open and very much involved through the whole process. The sales associate was very educated about the vehicle and others as he actually helped us to pick the right vehicle for us. Mark also demonstrated every aspect and feature that the minivan had and before we left he made sure that we were familiar with all of the controls and accessories. The F&I manager, Tom was very friendly and did not try to force us to buy anything extra. Tom also was very knowledgeable and even took the time to find us a better rate by utilizing different programs for financing, then explained all of the details to us and answered questions. Overall I would highly recommend buying or even just looking for a new or used car from Garden City. Even if you are just thinking about it I would just go in and browse cause there was never any pressure. If you think this is to good to be true just go see for yourself, you wont be dissappointed More
