Garden City Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge is truly professional dealership. They will professionally get all money out of your wallet and ask you if their make you happy? I presented them my offer for a new ca dealership. They will professionally get all money out of your wallet and ask you if their make you happy? I presented them my offer for a new car about 1k less than they wanted. We didn’t make a deal. After two days I went back and agreed to what they offered me than. Surprisingly they raised their price by another thousand. Now that’s professional. Not to mentioned that they always threaded me as piece of garbage: ignored when I was asking questions, sales person professionally talk about what he sees behind his widow at the moment instead of talking to me about our deal, etc. To dealership crew: guys wake up, I brought check to your dealership and if you do not want my money, somebody else will. So, prospective buyers, STAY AWAY!!!!. If you do not want to believe me, just go down there and look around. You will notify on how Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge look (honestly I’ve seen homeless shelters looked better) in comparison to other dealerships on the same street and if this will not make you think, than go inside and have fun as I've had. P.S. Unfortunately it is not possible to give them zero stars (or minus), if it was I would certainly use this opportunity. More
We were in the market for a new car and with the addition of our new daughter, we knew that we wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee as our next vehicle for obvious safety reasons. We were politely greeted as we wal of our new daughter, we knew that we wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee as our next vehicle for obvious safety reasons. We were politely greeted as we walked in by Alex at the font desk and directed to Mel, in sales, who helped us narrow down the package that was right for us. The staff at Garden City was very attentive and Mel helped us tremendously throughout the whole process. He was very easy to reach by phone with any additional questions we had following our initial visit. Tommy helped us understand the fine print and carefully guided us through the final agreement phase. Never at any point did we feel like we were being pushed into something we were not comfortable with. All in all our experience was a pleasurable one and we have the top notch staff at Garden City Chrysler Jeep Dodge to thank for that. More

Robert was very friendly. However, when i wanted to charge the entire used car to my visa card, RObert stated that it was illegal. It is not... I verified this with my chase visa card. I said i will charge the entire used car to my visa card, RObert stated that it was illegal. It is not... I verified this with my chase visa card. I said i will pay cash. Then RObert stated" if u pay cash i willhave to charge you $1200 extra. Since when did paying with cash cost extra? THen he said that i could put the downpayment on a credit card up until $3000. They want you to finance it so they make more money. Unscrupulous and unethical...I do not recommend this dealership... More
The salesman who tended to us seemed very nice at first, we entered the lot to see the car we were interested in, we were asking questions about the cars we were looking at which were a chrysler pacifica an we entered the lot to see the car we were interested in, we were asking questions about the cars we were looking at which were a chrysler pacifica and a dodge journey. He didnt kow the answers to any of the questions and on top of that he didnt seem interested in selling us a car we wanted he was more interested in selling us a car. Once we went inside to discuss payments and so on we were also explaining that we wanted to trade in our car as well. he looked into the "value" and according to him the car was only worth 10k. On top of that the car were interested was posted on cars.com for 17,481, the price he listed was 23k. Once i asked him again what the price was and explained i saw the car on cars.com for 17k he replied " if you knew the price why did you ask?" after explaining i was searching at the same time he smiled and said ok. Had i NOT mentioned the cars.com price we would have been given the 23k price...for a 2010 basic trim dodge jourey with 20k miles. After we stated that we would rather go somewhere else that the accord would be worth more he stated that the other dealers that would offer more are jacking up the price on me so they could add more to the car im interested in. we then decided to move forward and search somewhere else i asked for the paperwork with our information on it social, address and so on..he said he didnt fill one out and had only jotted down info on a note pad. I asked him if the paper behind him was ours and he pulled the paper out from his desk and put it in my face so close that if i exhaled the paper would of moved from my breath. At that point i was livid. he was not interested in us as consumers nor was he interested in selling us a car we would be happy with. He was not looking out for us in any way what so ever. I have never been so unhappy with a dealership ever in my life. Very unproffesional very displeased. I would not ever in my life reccomend this dealer to anyone. Honda accord 2006 *Trade-in $10,581 *Private Party Sale $11,807 *Dealer Retail $13,205 More
Couldn't get anyone to help us. Super unfriendly lazy staff. I was ready to buy the vehicle. We stood there forever, asked for help over and over and waited there while one guy read the paper and another staff. I was ready to buy the vehicle. We stood there forever, asked for help over and over and waited there while one guy read the paper and another was on the phone with his girlfriend. It seemed to me to be a sign of things to come if I bought the car there and needed help later. Take your business elsewhere. More
I have purchased many new cars and Garden City Jeep is by far has the WORST service department I have ever had to deal with. I make it a point to drop my car at the dealer the night before my appointment so far has the WORST service department I have ever had to deal with. I make it a point to drop my car at the dealer the night before my appointment so that the car is there can be no excuse why they cannot "get to" my car that day. For some strange reason that EVERY time I bring my car in for repairs, they never seem to be able to get my car into the shop until 3-4pm thus leaving no time to repair my car on the day of my appointment. When I question the service "advisor" as to why I cannot have my car repaired or even evaluated in a timly manor I am told very rudly that they are "very busy". I could understand this if it only happened once or wice, but it happens every time I bring my vehicle in. I am stuck with this dealership because they have done warranty work on my vehicle. Every single repair that they have done on my vehicle requires multible trips back to have the repair done properly! A word to the wise..avoid Garden City Jeep's service department at all costs. They are the most ineffecient, worst run service department that I have ever encountered! More
First I will qualify myself and then tell you about Garden City Dodge. I am a professional saleman with thirty years experience in several industries. I am currently self employed in sales. Having seen Garden City Dodge. I am a professional saleman with thirty years experience in several industries. I am currently self employed in sales. Having seen all the nonsense that can go on in sales I am a very tough sale. Very tough. I believe it when I see it. Before I make any big ticket purchase I do my research on the product, the seller, and the pricing compared to their peers. I SHOP before I buy and recommend you do to. Take your time and never buy a car from the first dealer you talk with. Get as many quotes as you can and decline to buy. Trust me, if you return to the dealership they will sell you a car and anything else they can sell you. I looked at several cars new and used and it was a terrible experience. Even the dealer that I was recommended to by a family member in the industry blatantly lied to me that he could not lower their price at all and then called me three days later to tell me I could have the car I wanted for $1200 less than he couldn't earlier. Too boot, they are five minutes from my home in the Port Jefferson area. So, how did I come to Garden City Dodge. I looked up all the Suffolk dealers on the Dodge website after the prior experience and thought that I should look in Nassau too. Bear in mind I live about 60 minutes from Garden City. I saw a few dealers with decent deals and then I found Garden City Dodge. They had the car I wanted for $1500 less that the dealer near me. It was advertised on their website so I printed out the information. I did take it to that dealer I mentioned and they told me there was no way I would get that deal. I DID! When I walked in the dealership the receptionist was nice. She called for a salesperson and Marcia Kimmel came to meet me. She seemed skeptical about me buying but she took me for a road test of the car I was interested. We got back and we began neotiating. She gave me a price and it was too high. To eliminate the back and forth, I pulled out the website ad and told her that if she could offer the advertised price I would but the car (my effort was about to pay off). She spoke to the sales manager, came back and told me we had a deal. She reamained cool and calm even though I wanted everything in writing with all details. I told you I am tough. Make sure you ask for Marcia, you will be in good hands. The next person I met was John Negri. I won't go into details but this guy was the BEST manager of any dealer I visited by far. He is professional, calm and straightforward. He gave me the advertised price without any hassle. I liked the way he dealt with me. When you go to Garden City Dodge ask for John, you will be glad you did as he made me feel very comfortable with my purchase. The sales experience was great. You should know I am fifty one years old and this is the second new car I have bought in my life. I have many connections in the auto industry so I always got great deals on pre owned cars. This time I wanted new. Next I dealt with Tom McGuinness. I am a wiz with numbers and I wanted to run various numbers to get the financing that would be best for me. I also read all the agreements. Tom did his best to remain calm but at points I could see his patience getting thin. He hung in there and I was very happy with the loan and terms I received. I did buy and extended warranty using the money I saved so that was good for me (and Tom). All positive so far but there were some negatives. They reminded me too much that I got a great deal. I almost walked away from the car because of it. DO NOT listen to it. They gave me the deal so I took it, end of story. DO NOT sign any paperwork until you see the car in "delivery condition" as if you are ready to drive it away. Drive it. Inspect it for any imperfections on the car. Mine was delivered with scratches on both doors right where I could see them. I was furious, mostly at myself for letting my guard down and signing all the paperwork before seeing the car. They tried to soothe me with the "you got a great deal" thing but I paid for a perfect car not one with scratches. Much to their credit, they did have it taken care of on the Monday (two days later) after I took delivery but it should have never happened. They were great in dealing with it and Marcia and John remained calm even though I was angry. I do have to admit that the car was perfect after the scratches were dealt with and I was very happy. Now they showed me how good they are at solving problems. I know this has been long but I hope you will find my experience to help you. I must tell you that I would DEFINATELY buy a car form Marcia and John again. I give them my highest recommendation as all the positives outweighed the negatives by far. I drove two hours (there and back home) each time to buy the car, take delivery and have the scratches removed and I would do it again! Do all of your homework, see many dealers, get as many prices as you can, check on gardencitycardeals.com for their inventory and deals then GO GET A DEAL ON A CAR from Garden City Dodge. Remember ask for Marcia Kimmel and John Negri, you will be glad you did, I am. More
We have leased two jeeps through Garden City Jeep. Having checked two other dealers for a new lease we went to Grden City for comparisons. Marcia Kimmel and Mark were extremely helpful and courteous in givin checked two other dealers for a new lease we went to Grden City for comparisons. Marcia Kimmel and Mark were extremely helpful and courteous in giving us various prices and time periods for a new lease. After comparing we spoke to John Negri who helped us decide to buy a new jeep rather than lease because we have low yearly milage and the lower residual value of turning in a leased car. He was most helpul and gracious in showing us why it is better off to buy than lease. Then we saw Tom McGuinness who also was very courteous and helpful in showing us the best ways to finance and buy an extended warrenty. When we went to pick up the Jeep our gate sticker for our condo unit blew out and we lost it. Everyone helped to find it for us! Alas it was never found. We are very happy with our experience with Garden City Jeep and their staff and would certainly recommend them Sincerely Karl & Trish Wegener Wegener More
