From the moment I walked in I was treated like a human being, given straight information, and easily understandable figures to work with. I was in the market to purchase a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and was having a hard time finding the deal (the price I wanted to pay) I wanted locally. ( I live several hours away from Garden City Jeep). I ended and was having a hard time finding the deal (the price I wanted to pay) I wanted locally. ( I live several hours away from Garden City Jeep). I ended up getting in contact with Alex Gomez over the phone. Mr. Gomez took the time to listen to what I wanted and spent the time to tell me how to go about getting the best deal I could. He knew the chances of me driving several hours to come to his dealership was slim, but he still took the time out of his busy schedule to talk to me over the phone. He could have said "sorry I cant help you and have a great day" but he didnt! He went out of his way to make sure I got a great deal no matter what dealership I went to. I ended up getting a deal locally here at home but I am SO GREATFUL for the way Mr. Gomez treated me and seemed truely concerned that I got a great deal! So YES I WOULD RECOMMEND this dealership! And thank you again Mr. Gomez! You went above and beyond! Wayne G. (Syracuse NY) More
I had a very pleasant buying experience at Garden City Jeep Chrysler Dodge. I was just starting to look for a new car, and since we have been very happy with my husband’s ’06 Jeep Liberty (purchased else Jeep Chrysler Dodge. I was just starting to look for a new car, and since we have been very happy with my husband’s ’06 Jeep Liberty (purchased elsewhere), I decided to take a look at the Jeep Compass. I did not have an appointment, but walked in and met with Ken at the door. I explained to him what I was looking for (just a test drive, just starting a new car search, etc), and he went to get me a Compass to drive. The test drive was short, but as I am familiar with the handling of a Jeep, it didn’t matter to me. We returned to the showroom, where I explained what sort of features I was looking for in the car and wanted an estimate of cost, value for my trade, etc. Ken located what I was looking for in their inventory, was very accommodating, and did not pressure me at all to upgrade options, make a decision, etc. I let him know that I wanted to discuss things with my husband and that I would continue looking. A couple of hours later, after looking online at the Jeep site, reading reviews, etc, I decided that this was the car for me, and I wanted my husband to see it and go a little further in negotiating a price. So I called Ken, we returned to the dealer, and he took us over to see the car he located for me. As soon as he saw the window sticker, Ken realized that the car was a front wheel drive, where I wanted 4 wheel drive. All other options were what I was looking for in the car. We returned to the showroom, where Ken located the exact car I wanted elsewhere, and, after a short period of negotiations, we settled on the car, put down a deposit, and scheduled an appointment to pick it up a few days later. All of this was done very cordially and professionally; I felt like we were having a conversation and not haggling a deal. The day we picked up the car, we met with Tom (finance) to go over our payment plan. Ken was again very friendly as we went through the paperwork. He went over the features of the car, programmed the Bluetooth for my cell phone, and had already set the radio presets based on what I had in my old car. I am very happy with my new toy, and I would not hesitate to recommend working with Ken if you head over to Garden City Jeep Chrysler Dodge! More
A few years ago I bought a jeep commander from garden city jeep and they were able to take $10,000 off the sticker price, essentially beating any other dealership I went to by over $3,000. So when i was city jeep and they were able to take $10,000 off the sticker price, essentially beating any other dealership I went to by over $3,000. So when i was currently in the market for a jeep grand cherokee overland summit, I first shopped around at about 4 other dealerships before going to garden city. Every other dealer I went to, such as manhattan jeep, highly undervalued my trade-in and were not willing to do anything on the grand cherokee's sticker price. When I went to garden city everyone was extremely nice and willing to do almost whatever it took to sell me the car. We ended up being $1,000 away from making a deal and they told me they couldnt do any better. Even though we were still $1,000 away, this was still a better deal by about $2,000 than any other jeep dealership i went to and they also gave me the full value for my trade-in. To sweeten the deal they threw in a third key and all weather mats. This was the icing on the cake and I made the deal. To sum it up, if you like being treated with respect and getting the best price around, give garden city jeep a try. More
Had a great quote on a Jeep Compass that I found online I called to make sure I would qualify for the rebates. The lady on the phone explained that I did not but said that they could rework the numbers to ma called to make sure I would qualify for the rebates. The lady on the phone explained that I did not but said that they could rework the numbers to make up for it. Made an appointment drove over from Jersey early on a Saturday at the end of the month. The sales man showed me the car and explained that he could not rework any type of rebate. So we negotiated more for my trade in and felt comfortable with the number we both came to. The sales person explained to me that they only have one finance manager and it is by appointment only and my appointment was with a salesperson not the finance manager. So I would have to come back on Monday to start the financing. I explained to him I could not take off work. He questioned why not like it is normal to call in sick to buy a car. He said I would have to pay NY sales tax even though I live in Jersey. He also said I need to pay them 50 dollars for them to retrieve the title for the car I was trading in. I explained the car is not paid off yet and the finance company still owned the car. He said it does not matter I should have a title and need to pay them $50 to get it. He told me I will have to drive back to do the financing next weekend since I cannot take off Monday. Confused I left and drove to a Jeep dealership in Jersey down from my house. They matched his offer, gave me a great APR for my good credit, charged me Jersey sales tax and had me driving off the lot two hours later in my new Compass. Not sure what was wrong with Garden City but they lost a easy good sale for poor service More
