We were told that they had ordered the parts but were backlogged and the car would be done in three weeks. They were unable to offer a loaner vehicle during this time. In the mean time we rented a car. Three weeks later the car was still not done. We were promised it would be done by August 16th as they had brought on extra personnel. On that date we inquired about the status of our car and they told us that not only have they not started our car but they haven't started the car before us that they had told us was done. We have talked to both the service manager (Dave) and the general manager (Michael) and subsequently have left many messages to both just inquiring about the status of our car and they have refused to return our phone call. It is almost September and we still do not have our car! To say that we are exasperated and upset is putting it mildly! We are now out over $2000 on our car rental and who knows on all of the incidental expenses. This group clearly doesn't care about customer service and customer care. I almost never write negative reviews but.... The only worse experience I can imagine would be if they did a bad job on the warranty work which I fear based on some of the other reviews. More

Despite the advanced notice, Because this dealership is 350 miles from where we live, we contacted them 10 hours before showing up at the dealership. Despite the advanced notice, the vehicle we had discussed with them was not readily available for a test drive. The salesman had no knowledge of the vehicle and answered every question with “I’m sorry sir I haven’t had time to research this vehicle“. The sales manager was not any more helpful. We left the dealership and they agreed to look into a few warranty items and call us back first thing in the morning. We never received a phone call from this organization. More

I checked in online last and it was very easy and it didn’t took 15 minutes to set the whole thing up. This morning when I arrived, I was by the service manager (Had a broken arm) and had a great attitude and made me feel that everything would be ok. His listening skills was excellent, and he was ready to get m taken care off. Once my truck was checked in, i was lead to wait at the lounge areas which was clean, had comfortable chairs, I was able to connect to the internet’s and do some work. Next I met this young man Dakota who start working on my truck. Dakota was exceptional, a young man that understood everything about my turck and what was going on with it. He showed me all the issues and he started fixing what needs to be fixed. Their was another mechanic that had years of wisdom and experience. His answers to my questions was very knowledgeable and full of experience. The two of them took care of my truck and I was on my way in less than two hours. Outstanding service, knowledge and skills. My checkout was fast and smooth, the value I paid for the visit was worth every penny I spent, and the service I received was definitely one of the best I have received in a dealership service department. As I travel the sorest fear is to break down away from home. Thank you God for the good people I met today, You guys were awesome. Highly recommend them. More

We dropped the car with them early for an 80k maintenance due to a grinding noise when braking. They performed the maintenance and "visually inspected" the brakes. When my wife went in to pick it up, MARIO (“service manager”) told her that the brakes had plenty of life in them and that there may be a rock stuck in the pad. MARIO then suggested that we go to a safe parking lot, accelerate very quickly and slam on the brakes, both backward and forward. I new that this would only cause more harm than good so I decided to perform my own at home inspection as the noise was still there. As soon as I had the front passenger wheel off I could see that the inside brake pad was nonexistent. I then proceeded with my at home inspection and found that the brake pad was so worn that it was digging a >0.010” groove into the rotor. I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from using the Santa Fe Volkswagen service department if you value your life. The Santa Fe VW service department could have caused an accident sending a vehicle with faulty brakes back out on the road and if that accident had a fatality it would have been shut down. Seems to me that MARIO needs to be let go. More
Good, bad ,& ugly I was happy with the deal I received on my 2018 VW Alltrack. I was unhappy to find out later models had blind spot monorting. Especially since the mod I was happy with the deal I received on my 2018 VW Alltrack. I was unhappy to find out later models had blind spot monorting. Especially since the model I was purchased was the SEL that came with all the safety equipment. I told the Christopher, my sales person it was a consern . He said the Alltrack doesn’t come with it. I don’t think he was lying, just uninformed. Both Andrea and Christopher were very nice. Now the ugly, Mr. Martinez. I called about this issue, he was very cold and uncaring. After reading the below review, I see I’m not the only one who feels this way. It spoils my feelings about this dealership. It’s hard to rate this dealership, I say go, but try not to deal with Mr. Martinez, GM of both VW and Mercedes Benz. Also should mention when I took delivery, it was missing a windshield wiper, I didn’t notice until turned them on, scratching my window. I had to make another trip to the dealership for a windshield replacement. More

Looked at few cars over 2-3 weeks including used GLA-250 Mercedes & then took a look at 2018 Golf-GTI & was really blown away by the car, thus pursuing a deal on a GTI. Went in 4 different times to get my trade-in value for my car & ultimately hoping to get an "out-the-door" price on a vehicle, including one of the two Mercedes that I drove. It never happened, until the 5th time. Things were progressing with some haggling, then Mr Martinez came into the picture. ( i thought he was sales mgr at that time) The salesman (Edson) was quite pleasant & easy to work with. Mr Martinez was quite aggressive, insulting & quite disrespectful, especially when describing my 2017 Subaru. He has a right to his opinion about my car, however his choice of words were alarming to say the least. I walked out & left Mr Martinez sitting at the table. He is the epitome of why many people absolutely hate to shop for cars. He gives Santa Fe VW a bad name & quite frankly, if he was an employee of mine, he would be gone ! I will never go back to the Santa Fe VW dealership. I drove down to Albq & purchased a Golf GTI, where I got a great deal & was treated respectfully & fairly. More
Terrible I had heard horror stories about this service center, but I decided to try them so I wouldn't have to drive from Santa Fe to Albuquerque - big mistake I had heard horror stories about this service center, but I decided to try them so I wouldn't have to drive from Santa Fe to Albuquerque - big mistake. The service manager, Mario Torres, was somewhat helpful at first, then turned very "macho", rude, and unprofessional. I submitted my 2018 VW Tiguan with ticking noise coming from the outside of the doors and Mario ordered replacement flashing for the outer doors. When the VW regional tech manager diagnosed it as b-pillar rattle and said that the interior headliner needed to be taken out and the frame adjusted (major unrelated repairs), Mario didn't care to explain that the issue was on the exterior of the vehicle. I was shrugged off and offered no alternative. Even Santa Fe VW master tech, Lupe, agreed that the b-pillar repair would be extreme and ineffective. Mario also failed to address the oil leak that I informed him of the second day that they had the vehicle. Meanwhile, it sat on the lot for three weeks and in the end nothing was resolved. Finally I took my car to University Volkswagen in Albuquerque. They were understanding, thorough, and professional. Within a week they completely solved the ticking noise by replacing the outer flashing on the door and fixed the oil leak that Garcia VW of Santa Fe failed to repair. University Volkswagen also offered me a loaner vehicle and covered gas. More
First-rate customer service during and after the sale My wife and I purchased a 2014 Honda CR-V from Garcia Volkswagen in February, 2018. We were directed to this dealership by a salesman from their Albuquerque operation. Our experience with Andrea Avalos and Shonisani Rapea was nothing but the most pleasant and professional. Our test drive of the car included city and highway operations, far and above the simple around town, right hand turns only that one reads about. We were able to negotiate a most acceptable price for the car, and were quite satisfied with all of the managers we dealt with in this negotiation. We collected our car the next day and enjoyed it for two days, then the water pump failed. We called Shonisani straight away and he arranged for immediate service at the Albuquerque location. Service Representative Tim Combs got our car into the shop straight away and a wide-thinking technician located an applicable service bulletin addressing a design flaw on the water pump. Between Tim and Shonisani, the necessary arrangements for replacement of the pump with the new design were made and we had our car back within a few days. Shonisani was most helpful and daily checked on the state of the repars. He was genuinely concerned that our new car had failed us so soon after purchase, and went above and beyond to make sure we had our car back in as quick a time as possible. We were grateful for the dealer's and Honda's warranties to cover this necessary repair. (It is only fair to say that the water pump failure was a result of Honda's design - which was soon discovered and addressed, and not anything that Garcia Volkswagen could have anticipated. There was no recall issued, just a service bulletin that directs replacement when/if the original design fails.) We were most impressed with the way we were treated by Garcia Volkswagen of Santa Fe, our sales representatives there and the service department of Garcia Honda in Albuquerque. We were refreshingly well looked after and in no way were we treated like just another old couple purchasing a used car. Shonisani and Andrea spent more than a little time with us on our purchase. We felt like we had just purchased a brand-new vehicle! Our thanks to both dealerships, Shonisani and Andrea, and our congratulations on well-run operations. More
