Disappointed I went to Garcia Honda service center to get my oil changed (I had an appointment). I was called about my car an hour and a half later by a representative to inform me that I had nails in my front tires and my back brakes were bad and I needed a brake fluid flush (all of which would cost $500 or so which was not covered under my service plan). Since I got new tires this last year I decided to just do the oil change which took 3 hours all together. My husband checked all the tires and brakes. He did not find any nails even after taking the tires completely off the car to make sure. Also he checked the brakes which were in good working order. I know there were other cars of similar make, model and color of mine in the shop. I just worry that my car was mixed up with someone else's car and those other people did not know about these things. It was a bad experience for me. I feel trapped because of the service plan I bought. More
WORST car sales experience EVER My boyfriend and I went in to Garcia Honda in Albuquerque today (2/22/2017). Like at any other dealership, we expected to have a few salesman approac My boyfriend and I went in to Garcia Honda in Albuquerque today (2/22/2017). Like at any other dealership, we expected to have a few salesman approach us as we were browsing through their inventory. We politely told each salesman that we were just looking for now and we would let them know if we were intetested in anything. About 10 minutes into our time there we found a Honda CRZ that I was admiring but knew that it was not in my price range. As we were walking away from the car, a salesman named PHILLIP approached us and asked me "Do you want that car?" i politely said "yes, id love to have that car but its just not in my price range". Phillip then proceeded to ask me why. "Did u lose your job?" "No", i replied "Are you planning on losing it? You cant afford 50.00 a month?" he then asked. My boyfriend laughed then asked, " what do you mean 50.00 a month? We would be financing the car for like 15 years, were just looking. Not really ready to make the purchase and we dont want to waste anyones time." The salesman continued to drill us on our fi ancial situation, asking us how we get by with just one car between the both of us and then told us to "get the f*** of the lot if we're not going to purchase anything!" At this point Im more than upset so i asked to speak to the manager whos name is Mike. On our way to the office to speak to Mike, Phillip continued to harrass my boyfriend and I to the point where he starts nudging my boyfriend and is saying "lets go then bro", suggesting they fight! As we approach the manager Phillip seems to have no problem in displaying his ugly attitude in front of him. He continues to talk crap to my boyfriend and I, tells us that he doesnt need to treat us with respect because were not considered customers because "were browsing and arent in the position to buy that particular car". The manager says this Phiilip guy was suspended but I feel he should be fired. Neither i, nor anyone that I know will EVER set foot on that lot again. More

The finance person our sales guy brought over started in immediately with a negative approach telling us the very bottom line and final price on what we would HAVE to pay for the vehicle(absolutely no markup, he was taking a loss blah blah blah). Like any red blooded Americans we countered his schpeal with "we need a better deal than that" and actually had done some shopping around at other local competitors with other tempting offers in hand. Before we could finish our counter the guy starts to bad mouth all these other dealers saying the most ubsurd things he can to put them down and worst of all he finishes his rant by calling my wife and I bold face liars!!..." nobody would offer a price that low, you must be making up figures" I told the guy how displeasing it is to hear his best "sales pitch" as nothing more than name calling and putting down other dealerships and also that we don't appreciate being called liars..this was the point when Mr. Finance pro threw his pen on the table with steam blowing out from his ears and blood red eyes telling us that we would need to take our business elsewhere...hah ok that was an embarrassing 15 minutes.. Needless to say we walked out in shock laughing at this childish buffoon and gave our 30 some thousand dollars to another dealer who didn't call us liars and sold the car on the merits of the vehicle and brand without having to put anyone or anything else down. :) (perfection). More

Lou was so politely and very knowledgeable about the Honda Accord, he made sure that we knew all the functions of the car and all or any concerns we had about the car was addressed before we left the lot. A few days went by and I asked for a simple breakdown on the pricing. Toby Garcia got involved and refused to provide me the requested information. Toby insisted that my expectations on the price put the Elite trim "out of play" and that the Elite models are extremely rare. So rare, in fact, that Santa Fe Honda had one in stock and was able to provide fair pricing via email immediately. Toby doesn't comprehend or care about the modern customer. A simple request for pricing, readily provided via email from a competitor, was met with an attitude, as if I was wasting his time. If a company won't even give you the price of their product up front, how can you trust them with your business? Toby ended our correspondence by suggesting I take my business elsewhere; that's probably the best advice one could have for this dealership. If you have to work them, just avoid Toby. Take a few minutes to read other reviews and you'll see his name come up on almost every 1 or 2 star review. More

Besides several questionable issues at other Garcia dealerships, my mother took her Honda in to Garcia Honda with the check engine light on and asked if they could quickly check it and tell her the issue. She even offered to pay. They rudely said "no, we will not. You got your last oil change somewhere else, and they probably did it wrong. Go read the manual and figure it out yourself". Shocking, really. More

Ended up buying lower end model, for which I paid way too much (that was mostly my fault, I should have walked out the door) was not terribly happy, was left sitting waiting for a very long time for "finance guy" to be available. Finance guy was horrible, rude, condescending, upset that I was paying cash and didn't want a loan. I understand that they make money on the up-sell, but this guy was so unpleasant I didn't buy things I otherwise might have. I did buy floor mats and a trunk mat, which I still haven't received over three weeks later. When I called the dealership to ask about it the parts department had no record of the order, it was never submitted, though they certainly charged me for it. Was told I'd be transferred back to the sales department to straighten it out, was then put on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever answered. Hung up, called again, spoke to someone in sales who said he'd take care of it and someone would call me back in ten minutes. Shockingly, it is now 30 minutes later and I've heard nothing. I love my car, have bought and owned several Hondas over the years, I currently have a CRV and an Accord in addition to the Civic I just purchased, but I will never buy another car from Garcia and am so unhappy about this I may stop buying Hondas. More

Road Trip and check engine light We were on our road trip from Texas when our check engine light went on in the middle of nowhere New Mexico. We drove with it on for 1.5 hours before we could get to Garcia Honda. Richard Simms saw us drive up in the Express Service and listened to concerns about the vehicle. He immediately checked the code and informed us that it may be the catalytic converter but it wouldn't stop the vehicle from operating. He reset the code and said if it came on again, we should have it checked out. I was relieved that we wouldn't have any repairs needed during our vacation and he gave us the confidence to continue our trip without worry. The light has not come on again. I had no negative reviews to read prior to our emergency visit, and I'm GLAD. Garcia came through for us. More
