The service department confirmed my suspicion and suggested I consider replacing the vehicle. I really wasn't prepared for that, but Gene Ake worked with me to come up with a lease deal that I could afford. I was reluctant to lease at first, but Gene went through all the figures with me, then sent me home to consider my options. The next day, I drove out of there in a shiny new Civic that I love! We had the exact vehicle selected, so I showed my rep, Gene Ake, my proposal and he went to bat from there. Gene never left me for long. (I hate that.) He came back with a great deal and I was gone. We did get some extra warranty and protection as this vehicle will be our 'snowbird'. Met front office folks, Kevin and Kelli, and their fine service crew who did an 'on the spot' NYS inspection on my wife's Nissan. (Yeah, I know, it's not a Honda, now that's service!!)
