Poor vehicle knowledge, lack of tact with customer Let me start off by stating that I bought a 2017 Honda Accord for my wife from Al this past October, and we're very happy with that car. Al did an ok Let me start off by stating that I bought a 2017 Honda Accord for my wife from Al this past October, and we're very happy with that car. Al did an ok job with that transaction, but it was the car that really sold itself. I went back to Garber Honda as I now need a car for myself, and I ran into Al again. Right off the bat a few things went wrong. First, the car he brought me to test drive had water pouring out of the rear passenger door, and you could clearly hear that it had gallons of water sloshing inside. He didn't want to go get another one so we took that car (water filled as it was) for a test drive. During the drive Al was not able to answer even simple questions about the car, it went as follows; Me: how much does it weigh? Al:"Don't know, I'll have to get back to you". Me: How many horses does this engine produce? Al:"I really don't know that, but you must have done your research so you should know that". I don't understand how a salesperson that is trying to sell one single brand of vehicles day in and day out doesn't know how much the vehicle weighs or its horsepower rating. Then came the pricing, car was priced over $36k MSRP, Al talked to his finance people and offered me a purchase price of $35k. I told Al that was a non starter and he then proceeded to get upset with me because I didn't make him an offer and I didn't want to pay the $35k he offered. At that point I decided I would be best served by taking my business elsewhere. I'm happy to report I went to a different Honda dealer about 15 mins away and received an offer for the same vehicle at $33.5k, no hassle and the salesperson actually knew basic info on the vehicle. More

Above and beyond service I am a busy guy and wanted to try to squeeze in a car purchase in my lunch hour before a meeting and Gina went above and beyond to get me in and out o I am a busy guy and wanted to try to squeeze in a car purchase in my lunch hour before a meeting and Gina went above and beyond to get me in and out of the office. She had the car I wanted running at the door when I pulled up. She made sure I was in and out ASAP. I was able to pick up the car the same day. Gina could not be there when I came to sign everything but made sure Brandon had what he needed to make sure I could get home in time for my daughters soccer game. Everyone was straight forward and the whole experience was phenomenal. More
Insight to Insight:Twelve years and Counting In 2006, we bought our first Honda Insight (manual transmission) from Holtz Honda and in January 2018 Garber Honda kindly supplied a replacement hybri In 2006, we bought our first Honda Insight (manual transmission) from Holtz Honda and in January 2018 Garber Honda kindly supplied a replacement hybrid battery for that 2006 model as after 12 years it was still running like a champ. That battery was all that was required to restore it to full hybrid operation. Recently that prized vehicle was rear-ended, being judged a total loss. Fortunately because it was a Honda, no one was injured. But we really felt the loss of that fateful auto. We wanted a replacement Insight but the accident occurred 2 months before the new 2019 Insights were due out. So what to do ? We took our tale of woe to Garber and they provided an immediate lease on a Honda Clarity EV pending delivery of a new Insight. That lease really helped bridge the gap between the operation of the old and new Insight. All during the wait our sales person, Issac, kept in constant contact assuring us that by the end of the month we would be driving our new Insight and sure enough that is the way it happened ! We love the car and can't thank the dealership enough for making sure we got it as soon as possible. We even got the same color as the old one. Sorry I can't quote the names of all the fine people who helped us, so we will just say THANKS TEAM GERBER HONDA ! More

Because I'm still a young student, I don't have a very large credit file but they helped me explore options and find what fit me best and had me in and out on the road with a car the same day! Above and Beyond! We went to Garber without an appointment and were greeted right away and offered refreshments- which made us feel much more comfortable. Ray came over quickly and showed us the CR-V and explained all features in an efficient way while offering a test drive. He then was amazing while talking about our financial abilities and was NEVER pushy about us buying a car. We left to think about it and called the next day and Ray made a time to meet with us. His appointment before us ran late but he was able to work with us and the other couple at the same time without making us feel slighted in the least. He was GREAT. We will be returning for another vehicle in the next year for sure thanks to Ray! More
