Do your research of your trades before coming here. I was looking to buy a new Jeep Wrangler. We were told that we would get a fair trade in value on my car. My brother having previous car sales experie I was looking to buy a new Jeep Wrangler. We were told that we would get a fair trade in value on my car. My brother having previous car sales experience helped me by doing the research of what a fair trade in value would be using all of the more popular sites used by dealers. Examples blackbook/clear book. We had a fair number in mind that would allow both me and the car dealer enough money to be happy. Well that didn't happen. We were quoted a number about 8000-9000 lower than what was a fair trade in. ( Just so you can see how far off these guys were, I was trading in a 2011 Shelby GT500 Coupe with 61k miles, I implore you to research what that car is worth to see we are not making this up. The number they offered was a insulting $22,500) The number we were offered wasn't even a salvaged title value with multiple wrecks. My car with a unbiased opinion should meet the good range. The number we felt fair was the average of what a fair condition car would go for. I say all of this to say, there is way too much info and resources on the internet to not have all the info on what your car is worth and what you should be able to buy your new car at. Do not go in blind because these guys are not on your side and are only out for their own interests. I hate to see how much these guys steal from people unknowing what the actual value is on vehicles and just going on what these guys say. I can see why they keep these guys on the payroll. They must get people that don't do their due diligence. I know they will pop on here and reply oh we offered a very fair value for the vehicle. Well folks, you be the judge and research and see who the bad guy is here. Trust some firemen that are looking out for the well being and the good (on and off the clock) of their fellow Floridians and do your homework before stepping foot into any Dealer... especially this one.
