I was recently in CT from out of state when I realized that I had a dangerous brake situation that needed immediate attention. I called a closer dealer, explained my situation but they could not take me for one week. When I called Georgetown in Norwalk they were very caring and listened to my dilemma. Although they were also very busy they told me to bring my car in asap. I brought it in on Thursday, it was ready Friday and I was able to get home to MA the next day without the hassle of borrowing or renting a car. Jennifer and Keith were topnotch! Jennifer Saunders is an excellent employee. I arrived without an appointment at 7am on 7/25/2012 for an unexpected problem with my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The first two employees who saw me at the service ga without an appointment at 7am on 7/25/2012 for an unexpected problem with my 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The first two employees who saw me at the service garage entrance told me that they could not help me as they had a 7am meeting that they had to attend. They each told me that they could not help me as they were not open and that I would have to wait until 7:30 when someone would be able to help me. As a physician with patients to care for beginning at 7:30 this was not an option for me. Jennifer took a small amount of time from her meeting to help me. She gave me a ticket for my car, took my key and asked if she could call me following the meeting to go over what the problem with my vehicle was. She called me shortly thereafter and in a very timely and informative fashion had my car repaired and back in service by 1pm. I recognize that showing up to a service center before hours is a time when service should not be expected. However, there are ways to handle this situation as a service center and as a decent human being and Jennifer Saunders is a person who understands and shows compassion for the customer. If you are looking for a quality used car, make sure to visit this dealership and ask for Mark Ballaro. I went to three other dealerships before buying my 2007 Jeep from Mark. The first place I visited employed a salesperson who spent a lot of time talking before "hearing" my buying criteria. This was somewhat surprising since I bought my last car there ... so he blew the chance to retain me as a customer. The second place had a prestigous name but their product fell short (and I don't think their service department had spent the money or time servicing the car I drove before it appeared on the lot). The third place was much better but didn't have a used car which met my criteria. This dealership is fortunate to have Mark. He is a people-person who listens and responds to questions. He knew his car inventory and was familiar with the car he sold me. He was accommodating when I asked for an opportunity to bring the car to a mechanic I personally trust. The few things that were discovered were immediately fixed. When it was time to sign the papers with the business manager, I felt he spoke a little too fast for my taste; things felt better after I asked him to slow down. As I reflect on my experience, it was unfortunate the service organization was not accessible. I wanted to understand the maintenance requirements with the first year of ownership and that part of the sales experience was unnecessarily laborious because the protocol is for the salesman to be the go-between. I had the uncomfortable impression the service department might be too profit-driven. In summary, I would give Mark an A+, the business manager a B and I hope management will seriously consider involving the service department in the sales process when the customer wants specific information from them. More
