Purchasing a new 2012 Civic from Galpin Honda was by far the best buying experience I have had. Of course car sales people are notoriously pushy, and as a single female looking for a car, the push and the the best buying experience I have had. Of course car sales people are notoriously pushy, and as a single female looking for a car, the push and the persuasion seems like it is laid on even stronger. I knew right away by talking on the phone with Joe Uphoff at Galpin, that I wanted to work with him -- he was straightforward about the pros and cons of each car, he laid out all the options within my price range (Fit or Civic, used and new), and did not push for one over the other. Ultimately I ended up with a car at the top of my price range, and am so happy with it in part because I came to the decision on my own after considering all of the facts. I also had a 2003 Civic that I traded in, which was a painless process. Of course there was some back and forth about the prices, but again done in a respectful and fair way. Joe is great about following up by phone after the purchase as well, to see if I have any questions or concerns about any aspect of the car. I give a strong recommendation to everyone I know to consider purchasing their next car from Galpin - I know I will, without a doubt. More

I named my price, and she went to work for me with her manager (this part is inevitable) to get me close to my budget. It took two trips to her management and we had a deal; a very good deal I must say, based on my research in Edmunds, and Truecar, and consumer reports. I got a "great" value. Although I cannot speak for everyone at Galpin Honda, I must recommend Katie. If you want a Honda, do your research, set your price, and go to Katie at Galpin Honda. More
We first met Matt Jones when he was working as a salesman for another dealership very close to our home. But we had such a great experience working with him that, when the time came to get a new car, we wer for another dealership very close to our home. But we had such a great experience working with him that, when the time came to get a new car, we were happy to make a longer drive out to Galpin Honda – just because we were so comfortable dealing with Matt. Matt is terrific and finding out exactly what we need in a vehicle – and what we can afford to pay – and finding the perfect situation for us. And he makes the process itself quick and hassle-free. And, of course, with his warm personality, he makes the entire experience pleasant for everyone. If any of our friends are in the market for car, we'll give Matt Jones and Galpin Honda our highest recommendation. More
I loathe buying cars. I'd been putting it off for quite awhile, but it finally came down to the point where my wife & I had to trade in one of our sedans for a new Honda Pilot. There are an unbelievab awhile, but it finally came down to the point where my wife & I had to trade in one of our sedans for a new Honda Pilot. There are an unbelievable amount of Honda dealerships in the LA area, but apparently 4WD Pilots are really tough to track down in So Cal. I emailed no less than 45 dealerships trying to determine who had the vehicle in stock. The amount of misinformation, outright lies and general vagueness I received from a number of dealerships was really disconcerting. So luckily, I got in touch with Kylee Dawson from Galpin, and she actually went out to their lot, took a picture of the vehicle & its sticker and sent it to me to prove they had the vehicle in stock. She did this the same day I asked for it. As far as price goes, Galpin gave me the lowest initial quote by over $1,000 as compared to other dealerships. Comparing that quote to results from www.truecar.com and elsewhere, it was an incredibly good quote (which of course I thought was too good to be true). I managed to do the majority of my communication with Galpin via email (which was great for me) and finally got a meeting set up to see the car and hopefully buy it. The salesman, Alen Bagdasaryan, met me at the dealership early on a Sunday morning. Alen was really helpful. He let me test drive the vehicle and was not pushy at all. The entire process was really pain free. So granted I was still at the dealership for a good 4-5 hours, which stinks, but I think that's just how it goes everywhere. My only complaints other than were that #1. I had to do a fair amount of negotiating on my trade-in (though I expected that) and #2. they insisted on running a credit check on me even though I was paying in full. That's it for complaints, seriously. There was no bait & switch. There was no pushy attempts at selling me things I didn't need. I talked to Alen for the majority of the time at the dealership and then I spoke with a finance person (whose name I can't recall) who presented me all the extras, but didn't push me when I declined all warranties and extra features. As a bonus, I accidentally left an old license plate frame on my trade-in car that I really wanted to keep and Alen even tracked it down for me a week later and mailed it to my home address. So given that I was dreading this entire experience, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. This dealership is 50 miles away from my home, but I would happily drive out there again to do business. A+ service from Alen & Kylee throughout the process. More

Before scheduling an appointment at Galpin Honda to buy my 2012 Honda Fit, I had negotiated the total cash price and confirmed that the sum included all fees. Upon arrival at the dealer, however, I was tol my 2012 Honda Fit, I had negotiated the total cash price and confirmed that the sum included all fees. Upon arrival at the dealer, however, I was told that there would be an additional $400 fee for the tint on the car. When I asked why this fee had not been included in the total, they claimed to have simply overlooked it. I don’t fault Galpin Honda for trying to get as much money out of the sale as possible – that’s their job. I do, however, fault them for going about it dishonestly. If you want to give your business to a dealership that acts with integrity, I’d advise you to look elsewhere. If, however, you’ve given up hope of ever finding such a thing, Galpin Honda may very well meet your expectations. *An update: Since writing the above review, I checked the specifications on the Honda website and found out that tinted windows are standard equipment, so it seems that Galpin was not warranted in charging an additional fee at all!
