My family and I had a pleasant experience with Galpin Mission Hills when we purchased a Honda Civic for our daughter. Mr. Tumasov was a breath of fresh air. I have had a bad experience with another Honda Mission Hills when we purchased a Honda Civic for our daughter. Mr. Tumasov was a breath of fresh air. I have had a bad experience with another Honda dealer and I almost gave up on Hondas because of this. Recommended by my wife's office mate, Galpin was a much better option. They answered all our queries and were very helpful with tips on a lot of things we don't know about car buying. Most of the time, car salesmen who are upfront with me always win my vote. More
We purchased a 2013 Honda Accord EXL at Galpin Honda and couldn't be happier with the car and the price. What made it even better was there was no haggling with the on-line salesman, Armen Bandari. We cal couldn't be happier with the car and the price. What made it even better was there was no haggling with the on-line salesman, Armen Bandari. We called about 5 on-line salesmen and visited 1 show room. Armen gave us the best price and was pleasant and so easy to work with. He was very responsive and timely about returning all our communications. Furthermore, he continues to be helpful even after we completed the purchase. We highly recommend both Galpin Honda and Armen. We are confident if you deal with Armen your experience will be great too!! More
I added updates (more negative to the bottom of this review and will continue to add up-dates, good or bad. I came really, really close to giving 5 stars... but then we learned more. We were intereste review and will continue to add up-dates, good or bad. I came really, really close to giving 5 stars... but then we learned more. We were interested in a used car and asked if we could take it to our mechanic. We were told "no" under the basis that, because they had an ad out, it had to be there. They assured us that the car was in excellent condition and had been attended to by their service department. They tout themselves as a Christian company, so yes - foolishly we trusted them. We purchased the car and went home. We took it to our mechanic 3 days later(we heard an inconsistent knocking noise that sometimes sounded, sometimes didn't - and we hadn't heard it when test driving). Our mechanic found leaks and several other problems - cracked side-arm bushings, a broken engine block mount, a cracked dog-bone something-or-other engine mount, and said that, although the tread on our tires was good - the rubber was bad like an old rubberband - as evidenced by the cracks in the side of the tires. So - when Galpin Honda happened to contact us on that same day wanting to know how we were, I explained my huge disappointment that we needed almost $2,000 in repairs!!! I want to point out that we have used our mechanic for years, as have several other friends. He has never done us wrong and he has a perfect record - no complaints or lawsuits against him in 10 years! Even when we lived 40 miles from him, we had tried "closer" mechanics, but those were all mistakes, so we would travel all the way to him, so deep is our trust. I point this out to say, "no, our mechanic wasn't pulling our leg" - in fact, he wanted us to take our concerns to Galpin Honda saying that the tilted engine that was banging up-and-down (causing the sounds we heard and was putting more stress on the dog-bone-something-or-other to where that part would soon be officially broken too) and the cracked tires were a safety issue. Anyway, we told Galpin about our deep disappointment and they said to bring the car in and they would look at it because they wanted us to be happy. We had hope! We took it in. They promptly said that there were no leaks - just seepage (perhaps I am geniunely wrong here,,, but I thought that seepages were leaks...) and that the tires were fine and that the engine mounts weren't broken - just normal cracks on there bushings (whatever that means). My mechanic says yes, the dog-bone-thingy has cracks on the bushings that are a little worrisome and our probably a result of the other broken engine mount which he says - yes the bushings are the problem - but it's not "normal you can ignore it" because our entire engine is sitting at a slight tilt and is bouncing when we drive. On our way home we stopped at a friends house - the friend works on fancy cars - and asked him about the tires. He pointed out a few cracks and recommended that we get them changed soon since we travel with the baby in the car (not to mention us and all the other drivers on the road when one of our tires blows out!). Galpin contacted us and said that they wanted us to be happy, so we could either have all our money back or, we could have a "nice discount" on the repairs to "help" us. I asked what the price would be. The quoted me a "nice" discount that was a little more than my mechanic. We decided to keep the car because, other than many minor repairs that happen to cost A LOT to fix (like the broken engine mounts and tires as my main concerns), the engine and transmission look good and the rest of the car is good. I figured that if a professed Christian company was going to sell me a car and withhold the information that it would cost another $2,000 to keep us safe on the road (o.k., so the most important things if we ignore the leaky (I mean "seeping") gaskets and pumps) would ONLY be about $1,200ish - then any other company would probably blind-side us too. Might as well stick with the car that seems great other than the parts that hold the good parts in (engine mounts) and bad tires. So we will take our car next week to be fixed by our mechanic who will charge us less than there "discounted to help-us-out" rate. Very disappointing. I will give them this - all the people talked professionally and courteously. Again, I found it dishonest to not inform us of the expensive repairs and then to deny the severity so that they wouldn't have to fix them - I mean, they call themselves Christians and that hurts - but they were "kind" none-the-less. When we had been buying the car my son was sick and my baby was cranky and so the process was slow and drawn out between their end (it was a busy night) and our end with the distractions of our children. Art was good about working around that and Peter in the service department was AWESOME with his communication and kindness. I have issues with the company though, so I won't go again and told my friend (who I had initially encouraged to go there this Saturday) to NOT go there after-all. So sad. More updates: Previous review was written within a week of purchasing the car. Now it's been a month and a day. Turns out that when I was hearing weird noises that I thought was the timing belt had gotten a lot worse and now the prognoses is that it is coming from the transmission. Don't know that that means yet, but what I do know is that A) Car was sold to me as "The MOST EXCELLENT condition B) Their Christian status was touted and they SWORE to me that they had throughly inspected the car and that it was in EXCELLENT condition C) They refuse to let me take the car to a mechanic under the premise that other people were coming to take a look at it so it needed to be there D) The tires which they kept saying were "safe and practically new - just look at that tread!" they would not even begin to consider switching with the same tires on a new car (probably because they knew that saying they were "safe" was an out-and-out lie) E) In one month - the only month of ownership - I have had to purchase new tires at $575 and then paid $1,600 just to fix the broken engine mounts and cracked various "bushings" (mechanic speak) and then just got the bomb today that our transmission has issues. As stated before - don't know what that means yet, but I do know that even the most minor problems with the transmission equals big bucks in repairs. Very frustrated. NOT feeling ANY love for Galpin right now. DO NOT go there!!!! More

When it was time to purchase a new Honda Odyssey, we used Galpin and it was a very good experience. The location is convenient to the 5 Freeway, the showroom is large, very clean, the bathrooms were well stocked and clean, and the "cafe" was good too. There were over 60 Odyssey's on site for us to choose from. During our several hours at the showroom, we purchased drinks and refreshments. The children's area was well equipped with video games and a large TV which kept my two kids entertained and occupied while I conducted business. Our salesman Charlie Chen was excellent and had answers to all the questions we had. He was considerate, and thoughtful and gave us a good price. He explained the process throughly and introduced us to each of the staff members were interacted with. I told Mr. Chen I would purchase my next Honda from him. Previously, we had used Robertson Honda but never had a good experience there. Galpin is a much better dealer for us. More

I bought a new 2013 Accord. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, respectful, and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable about the car. There was no hard sell or pressure. We were looking for a favorable experience in the purchase of a vehicle. After being referred to Galpin Honda from Galpin Mazda, after visiting Galpin Vovlo and Galpin Ford we had the sheer exuberan purchase of a vehicle. After being referred to Galpin Honda from Galpin Mazda, after visiting Galpin Vovlo and Galpin Ford we had the sheer exuberantial experience of a young Walied Karaki. I was concerned upon first meeting this young lad as I have a general distaste for 20 somethings. Walied proved to be mature enough to handle my sarcasm. His patience with my spouse was evidenced in his understanding that our decision was based on the comfort the car provided. As we left, prior to the purchase, and drove back over to Galpin Mazda (passing by Galpin Jaguar)he assured us that he wanted us to purchase the car we wanted. When we went back to Galpin Honda (geez how many Galpins are there?)we quickly closed the deal. The "money & paper guy" --- really we have to sign something saying the whole experience was in English??? --- I think it was Ramon was diligent in his duties, no matter how many times my wife signed incorrectly. All in all a good experience.. and how come Walied doesn't have a Honda shirt? More
We recently bought a 2012 Odyssey through Galpin’s internet department. Everyone we dealt with was honest, courteous and professional. They responded to our internet request with a written offer, th internet department. Everyone we dealt with was honest, courteous and professional. They responded to our internet request with a written offer, then beat the best offer we got from other dealers when we spoke by telephone. They confirmed their offer in writing by email and added a breakdown of the monthly payments depending on the size of the downpayment. When we went to the dealership to buy the car, they followed through on the internet offer without any changes or game-playing. It was the easiest car purchase I’ve made in 30+ years of buying cars. Everyone we dealt with was great, especially the sales reps, Alen Bagdasaryan and Chris Sandoval. More
