On 05/18/2013 a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4x4 VIN #1GCEK14Z85Z247249 was acquired with a loan totaling $12,860.51 with a down payment of $2,178.20. The quality delivery checklist at the time of sale #1GCEK14Z85Z247249 was acquired with a loan totaling $12,860.51 with a down payment of $2,178.20. The quality delivery checklist at the time of sale requests under contract that the windshield needed repairs due to the chip. That was never done. During the 6 month warranty I noticed that the tires where causing the wheel to shake and that the tire weigh capacity was under the max tow rating allowed on the truck. If I would have towed at full capacity and the tires failed I could have injured myself and innocent bystanders. I brought that to Angel Hernandez’s attention with in weeks. I also told him about the loose headlight and driving lights, the front bumper was not aligned evenly, the lights dimming while putting the windows up, and also I heard a clunking noise while in 4WD the first time I engaged it. After finding the tires to be a liability Angel replaced them with a another set. All the other problems seemed to be ignored. I brought the truck back again with a week to tell him that the tires where making the truck shimmy and to address the other problems along with the chip in the windshield and a new problem I noticed. There was oil oozing from the rear differential, Angels response after looking over the vehicle was that he cleaned the area, the shimmy was most likely because its a truck, the headlights where suppose to be loose, ignored the bumper request, never filled the chip in the windshield, ignored the lights dimming and said the he couldn't find anything wrong with the 4WD. Weeks later, maybe a month I brought the truck back to inspect the differential after he cleaned the area. When I saw the truck on the lift I noticed the rear differential was still oozing as well as the front differential was leaking a lot worse than the rear. Angel and three other mechanics looked over the problem underneath the truck and concluded that it would be better for me to take it to a Chevy Dealership for the repairs. Angel told me to have the service manager at the Chevy Dealership call him to set up the repairs. I tried to call Angel 10 times and left 8 messages with no return phone call. The service manager at the Chevy Dealership also tried to call Angel 2 separate times and left 2 messages with no return phone call. The warranty then ran out before he returned either of our calls. I would have went to see him personally but I was working full time and started a detail business during that time and moved to Hollywood Hills. After that I moved to Florida in December where the truck was shipped the distance. I recently made the decision to move to Las Vegas. I loaded everything I own in the truck and started out the 2,500 mile journey. First, Let me tell you about my traveling experience before the truck. I started with a $1,200 car that I bought weeks before I drove it from Upstate NY to Myrtle Beach SC. The 02 Ford ZX2 with 80k miles made it the 14 hour trip with out a xxxx-up. 6 months later I drove the same $1,200 car from Myrtle Beach SC to Long Beach, CA. 3,400 miles on that trip and still no problems. I then traded that $1,200 02 Ford ZX2 in for $2,000 for a down payment on a 07 Mustang Conv. with 74k miles. I still own the Mustang and the only repair in the year I drove it daily was a thermostat housing assembly. I drove the 07 Mustang from California to Upstate NY twice with no problems. I then tried my luck with the 05 Silverado I found at your shop after searching for over 6 months for a low milage V8 4x4 truck that fit my style. I took off at the beginning of this month to start fresh in Las Vegas while finalizing a divorce in California. I made it 8 hours in the trip from Boca Raton Florida to Tallahassee Florida before the transmission made a clucking noise and then completely disengaged leaving me and the truck stranded for 5 days. After spending $2,800 on the transmission rebuild and another $1,000 in hotel and food costs for the 5 days, the truck made it another 4 hours before the breaks started locking up because of a blockage in the lines along with the transmission work done by the Chevy dealership in Tallahassee had failed. Another 5 days in hotels spending another $1,000 plus the $2,100 for the brake work all the way down to the master cylinders. The Chevy dealership covered the 2nd transmission work fix but the truck still shifts hard from 1st to 2nd when driving slow. After leaving the second Chevy dealership spending a total of around $4,800 on transmission and brake repairs I get about a hour into the trip before the check engine light comes on. I map quested the closest auto zone and had them scan the system to see that it read bad o2 Sensor. The light now comes on and off and I heard that there are 3 o2 Sensors that it could be. Another 4 hours into the trip I noticed the truck over heating while sitting at a stop light. When I drove a little it cooled down. On the highway it doesn't overheat but now frequently at stop lights it starts to overheat a little and then it will come back down to normal. I talked with my father and grabbed a fan control relay hoping that would be the easy fix but me nor him can figure out where the relay is and I also heard there is more than one. Also since day one I noticed the lights dimming when putting the windows up and while turning the wheel. My guess is power steering pump with the hint being the sound the the wheel makes sometimes when I turn the wheel going slow. The tires that where shimmying I ended up replacing on my own with a very nice set of Cooper Discover A/T3 for around $950 in December. I noticed the same pattern in sidewall damage in my new tires as the other 2 sets you guys put on there. I came to the conclusion that at least 3 of the rims are bent causing a indent in a thin diagonal line. I also added window tint for around $200 along with a Flowmaster muffler with a cut and weld costing another $140. The tonnau cover was another $300. I like older collector type cars and trucks and I had big plans for this one but after spending 2 years worth of saving in 20 days getting my truck out of the shop and paying for hotel rooms stranded in 2 different states Im very close to being homeless. I always use to say the reason why people become homeless is because they choose a drug over everything else. The thing that will leave me homeless is a truck I’ve had for 10 months. Even after spending everything I have and borrowing from numerous people the truck still over heats, still has loose headlights and driving lights, still a chip in the windshield, nothing was done about the differentials, the power steering pump is going and the lights dim when you put the windows up. When I started driving the 05 Silverado the MPG read 13.4. Right away that average jumped to 14.7 with my driving style. I added the tonnau cover to increase my MPG and it jumper to 15.7 MPG. I talked with pretty much everyone I could talk with at the Galpin Honda Dealership and I never seem to get a return phone call. When I finally found a listening ear to all the issues that have been going on with the truck I spoke with Phil. He told me he wanted to help and to bring the truck in to get something else. I asked him over the phone what we could do about the repair costs and that I hoped he wasn't going to have me drive 5 hours for no reason. He told me to bring everything with me and he would work it out. I finally got the money together to make the trip only to be given an offer for less than what I owe on the truck. Of course I owe more on the truck than what it is worth because I just loaned the vehicle 10 months ago. So on top of the $6,800 in repair costs and hotel rooms I was suppose to be able to afford to double up on my truck payments...? Phil should have gotten my credit information, how much I owed on the truck, and a estimate on the trucks trade in value over the phone before I made the 5 hour trip from Las Vegas. Now Im forced to make 2 more 5 hour trips from Cali to Vegas spending more money I don't have. I started of my trip with enough money to cover all my bills for 3 months and enough to buy all new furniture for my 3 bedroom condo. Now I find myself looking for free furniture on craigslist. This truck has taken everything I have saved in the last 2 years after driving it for 10 months. I moved from a house on the water with a boat dock in Florida to being stranded 10 days in 2 different states only to end my trip with no money to survive. More

I'm a proud owner of 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L thanks to Josh Lubeck and Galpin Honda. Planning for a fight to get the best deal, I was armed with the best quotes all across southern California. First of to Josh Lubeck and Galpin Honda. Planning for a fight to get the best deal, I was armed with the best quotes all across southern California. First off, one of the better quotes did come from Josh, but I had one better. :wink! :wink! He took one look at it, digest it, calculating the math on how their competitors can do this deal, check with his manager, and comes back a few minutes later saying they can do this deal. No fight... I'm like in shock. This dealership is hands-down, the most stress-free environment I ever been to. From Josh down through accessory sales and finance, they never push to you purchase anything extra. Josh even suggested to remove a dealer add-on accessory from the price if I didn't need it. If anyone is in need of a automobile, I highly recommend asking for Josh Lubeck and his team. No joke. I'm sitting up, writing this review at 3am. Thank you Josh! More
I had always purchased used cars up until this point, but the service at Galpin helped me explore my options. I was able to walk away with a brand new vehicle that was perfect for my needs as well as within the service at Galpin helped me explore my options. I was able to walk away with a brand new vehicle that was perfect for my needs as well as within my budget. Sam Mazumder (Maz) was always in contact with me (not in an annoying way!) and was always prepared to address my needs while continuing to find me the best possible deal. Galpin was the first dealership I walked into and Sam's hard work was definitely one of the main reasons I returned to do my business with them. The entire process went smoothly, from browsing to negotiations to sales to finance. Stephen in the finance department worked hard to make sure that I understood every step of the finance and document process. Which I appreciated greatly since it was my first time purchasing a new car! I will certainly consider this dealership for future purchases and would recommend it to anyone browsing for a vehicle.
