Unprofessional Service Department Wrote below email to Service Department guys, with absolutely no response. Shameful! Hope this gets to the right people. Matt, I've been a customer of the Galpin fam Service Department guys, with absolutely no response. Shameful! Hope this gets to the right people. Matt, I've been a customer of the Galpin family for the past 3 years as I've leased my 2019 Honda Clarity through the dealership. I’m writing to you in response to your email. My recent experience with your dealership has been nothing less than harrowing. To recap my 2022 story with Honda, I got the Honda Clarity (2019 model) serviced on 2/28/2022. Since the service, I've driven the car mostly on the streets, as I work from home and don't really drive it as much. Fast forward to 4/11/2022, my wife along with our two kids was driving on CA 118 west freeway, and had the narrowest of escapes. While on the highway, the rear driver's tire rolled onto the freeway while the limping car going at speed over 50 was left behind with my wife and kids in it. She was smart enough to handle the car with the missing tire and was able to steer the car on the side of the highway, saving the unthinkable. There was no warning of low tire pressure or any sorts before the tire rolled. We got the car towed to Galpin Honda Laurel Canyon. I clearly pointed out all that went wrong with the car and that the car was serviced here a month ago, where they performed tire rotation. Knowing that the tire rolled on the highway and wasn't available for inspection, the next thing I get told is without the tire we won't be able to inspect what went wrong, and the cost would be covered by the customer. I was left aghast at this response, that the representatives weren't even looking at what could have gone wrong with the car, and what this could have caused. I needed the car, so gave it for repairs. Meanwhile spoke to a few friends in the car business and read detailed articles on what could cause the car tire to roll off at high speed without any warning. And viola, my hunch was right, the reason that came across was a recent tire rotation could have caused it. Upon picking up the car, I brought my concerns and these articles to the Manager "Peter Melendez Jr", and his response was no different than the earlier rep. They wouldn't even consider inspecting this incident without the tire! This was after telling them that the tire rolled off on the highway and they expected customers to grab it from the highway by pulling some superman stunts. My wife was fortunately able to avoid the mishap, all I expected was the dealership to inspect this incident with integrity. Instead all they tried to do was to push the blame back to the customer to avoid any cost/blame/consequences. I'm utterly disappointed at the treatment and demand a thorough inspection of the situation and suggest genuine and honest people to serve as "Managers". I have and will be sharing this experience with my friends and online, raising flags against buying/leasing/servicing at Galpin Honda @ Laurel Canyon. And believe it or not, I was met with some like mindedness who received an inferior treatment at this dealership. The dealership is to make profits, sure but also responsible for people's lives in the way they service the car and inspect any wrongdoings. I understand mistakes can be genuine, but to look away from them just because you sit in a position to do so, while others' lives are at stake is alarming. There were #1 Dealership hoardings posted all over the dealership, at the same time, they should put out how many negative reviews they gather for a true picture. I'm attaching the repair contracts for the car from 2/28/22 and 4/11/22 for your reference. Hoping for parity and honesty. Survey comments usually go unnoticed, at least emails may make it through to the right people, who CARE! Disappointed and Agitated Customer More
