A Car Buying Experience as First Rate as the Car Itself! . I just purchased my 4th Honda. A 2017 CRV EXL-L. The first three were from a different dealership and I always had an excellent experience there. . I just purchased my 4th Honda. A 2017 CRV EXL-L. The first three were from a different dealership and I always had an excellent experience there. But Galpin Honda is something else! A truly exceptional dealership with an exceptional staff. I knew what car I wanted. But, by its very nature, buying a new car is a complicated and potentially stressful experience. An internet search led me to Galpin. Even though it was considerably further away from me ( I live in the Hollywood area); the Galpin website interface, and the follow up phone conversation with the Internet Manager, Shawn Harrison, were both attention-getting in the best way. Particularly my conversation with Shawn. He was transparent, candid, and answered my direct questions with direct answers. I decided to give these guys a try. The next day I went to the dealership, and the team member who worked with me (Letty Lopez) made the whole experience not just as easy as possible, but actually a pleasure. Letty was completely professional, but also friendly and casual and welcoming at the same time. She drove me to Galpin's huge inventory lot, so I could see exactly the car I was interested in, in the color I wanted. And then, as we tackled the rather voluminous paperwork, she moved through everything as quickly and efficiently as possible., Less than 90 minutes after I walked in the door, the deal was done. The next day, Letty brought the car to me, so I would not have to drive back to Mission Hills. She walked me through a lot of the new features on the 2017 model before she turned the car over to me. And her natural warmth and sense of humor made the whole thing of pleasure. I want to also mention Artin, in Finance, who walked me through all of the potential add-ons and extended warranties without making me feel pressured. And he got us through that last mountain of paperwork remarkably quickly! I have not even mentioned price. Once again, Galpin was totally upfront about the deal -- which was a significant reduction from the MSRP -- and it was done without game playing or " let me go talk to my manager .." maneuvering. I have never had a bad experience buying a Honda. But this experience at Galpin -- largely because of the people who are its backbone,-- was genuinely exceptional.
