Good Morning, My name is Carmen Hudson and I am the Customer Relations Manager for Galeana. Our Service Departments for Kia and Chrysler Jeep are open on Saturday until noon. The express Lube Department is open until 4pm. Express does not require appointments but all they do are oil changes and tire rotations. They are not staffed with full Service technicians or mechanics.. On the recalls and updates you would need to come to the full Kia Service Department as they have the programs and equipment necessary to perform these tasks for your Kia. This was not done to upset you or to add any frustration to your day, and I am sure you would want these things done by a certified Kia technician. I know sometimes appointments can be 4 or 5 days out, but the Service Writers will try to work this in, especially if you have reasons why you cannot come in during weekdays..We do appreciate your business . if you would like to contact me about scheduling an appointment, I will be more than happy to help make that happen. Good Morning, I saw your review and I am sorry it was not explained better by our Kia Service Staff. As it is in most Service Departments their is a diagnostic fee that is charged to a customer to find a problem, now if the customer decided to have the repair done, that fee is applied to the cost of the repair. But if not it is a charge that the customer will have to pay. A courtesy inspection does not go in to any issues that may have to do with the onboard computer and is more detailed. They will not make any repairs without the approval of the customer because of that charge. I am sincerely sorry that this was not explained and I can understand how this could be frustrating and could cause another trip to the service department.
