Gainesville GMC - Service Center

First, go look at the 1 star reviews , there are plenty service related. I'm not going to waste your time telling the long version. My wife went in for a free oil change that she won and was sold services service related. I'm not going to waste your time telling the long version. My wife went in for a free oil change that she won and was sold services she didn't need and told I requested them when I made the appointment. Don't let them swindle you. I contacted them after the fact and they where unapologetic and blamed my wife. Good luck if you choose to use them. I texted and emailed about this incident. They responded via text with no apology and basically blamed my wife. Then AFTER I wrote a negative review GMC called and tried to offer me a free oil change to make it right and specifically told me I would have to take down the review. Again, they offered no semblance of an apology and doubled down blaming my wife outright lying about the interaction. The version of what happened was not slightly different from my wife's but grossly different. I would highly recommend you take your vehicle somewhere else even for a simple oil change. More

Great service- changed my mind about GMC I've been to this dealership several times primarily for service. The last couple times I was there I encountered Al on the sales floor offering help I've been to this dealership several times primarily for service. The last couple times I was there I encountered Al on the sales floor offering help but not offering any pressure. I had sworn off GMC is my next vehicle or two after a really bad experience in a dealership in Jacksonville and absolutely nothing from corporate. Al single-handedly may have changed that. I straight-up told him that I wasn't ready to buy yet but he offered assistance and showing us Vehicles anyway. After two or three visits with the same type of service, I decided my next two vehicles for my wife and me will be from him. I can say that generally the service department doesn't pressure us, we don't feel pressured walking around, and the dealership is always clean and service is quick and reasonably priced. It's nice to see that big companies are changing the way they treat customers but this dealership still stands apart from the others I've experienced. More

Looking through Netflix the other night I stumbled onto a show called “Chef”. One particular episode was about the Food Critic/Writer Johnathan Gold. During the episode to honor this famous food critic there were comments on his method of reviewing restaurants. He just showed up, ordered the food and ate it. If he liked it he’d write a review on it. If he wrote a good review, people would flock to the location based on his review. IF he did not like the food, he simply got up, left and didn’t say or write anything about the restaurant or the food. His reason for this was because he worked in the food industry, he knew how hard and difficult it was to run and cook in a restaurant. He didn’t want his negative review to stop anyone from going to any restaurant based on his one time visit. SAME GOES WITH MY RECENT SERVICE VISIT EXCELLENT AND MORE EXCELLENT. More

Exceptional Service I was greeted very warmly as soon as I pulled into the dealership by Kim Murscoe. They got to work instantly on my vehicle and made sure that I was comfortable while I waited. During my wait I attempted to get a snack from the vending machine and my card would not swipe. Without any questions asked Al Hunter walked over and swiped his phone to pay for my candy. I have never seen anyone go above and beyond customer service the way these 2 people have done. Al even went as far as to try to get me into a new Acadia and he would have succeeded but i am in the middle of a move and did not want to over extend myself. When it is time to trade my car in I will definitely come back here to do so! Thank you guys! More
