Horrible experience, Kia of orange park and GMC of Gainesville conspired against us after we jus bought a lemon from Kia of Orange park 4/25/23. I had the vehicle in my possession for 10 days before i Gainesville conspired against us after we jus bought a lemon from Kia of Orange park 4/25/23. I had the vehicle in my possession for 10 days before it was sent to dodge for repairs. Didn’t get the truck back to 6/1/23 and had to bring it back to Kia the following day because it had not been fixed at all and was not reliable. THEIR solution was to do an even trade out of the Dodge into a different truck since the dodge was still under factory warranty they could wait until it was fixed properly so I wouldn’t be out of a vehicle. Rentals only covered after diagnoses which was up to 2 wks under the warranty. We were told all fees and down payment would transfer over essentially like the dodge didn’t exist and Kia would take the loss if any. They explained since they didn’t have a truck comparable to what we had on the lot that by going to GMC in Gainesville (live in yulee so almost 2 hr drive) it’d be under the same owner Morgan Auto group and the managers had already spoke about the situation. We asked numerous times when we got to GMC to make sure everyone was on the same page to which they agreed multiple times. We were still hesitant to sign so Craig the salesman went and asked the manager about throwing in Gap and bumper to bumper warranties for FREE, as with the dodge I was covered and didn’t want to loose the warranty. Again another lie, upon signing I asked what the total amount financed was and Ryan the financier said around $62,000. Which would of been fine because of the difference of the truck. We were distracted by the manager who came in mid signing to tell us a story (hindsight that was planned) so we wouldn’t be focused on the numbers. When we got home from the purchase we printed out the purchase agreement to find that everything both dealerships told us was a lie. I got charged all the fees over again, my down payment didn’t transfer and lost $5,000 cash I put down on the dodge when I traded in my 2023 Kia Sportage and the warranties and gap was not thrown in for free. My payment was supposed to stay the same but rose from $900 to $1183. The total amount financed is $72,000!!! I’m contacting a consumer lawyer about fraud and misrepresentation since I have texts and documents agreeing to a deal that never happened. They bold faced lied and worked together to use the dodge which was a lemon to push us into trading it in for almost twice the money! On an older truck with more miles than the dodge at that. I went back to both dealerships the following 2 days only to be met with more lies. Acting now like there was never an understanding. Why in the xxxx would I purchase a vehicle in April only to trade it in in June when it was under factory warranty?! The only reason I agreed to this deal was an even trade otherwise it’s ignorant to go that far upside down on a vehicle. And if I was gonna trade it in randomly I definitely wouldn’t of chose to go to another dealership owned by the same people who sold me a lemon originally! I don’t understand how a business can operate on false pretenses as they did and get away with it. I will let everyone know not to deal with these dealerships or the Morgan auto group based on my experience which was absolutely awful!! More
