Shocked!! I brought in my newly purchased used 1998 F150 XLT 4x4 for an inspection an an oil change service. Original cost was estimated at $385. I got a call f I brought in my newly purchased used 1998 F150 XLT 4x4 for an inspection an an oil change service. Original cost was estimated at $385. I got a call from my service advisor Andy and he informed me that there where some issues that came up as failed and needed to be repaired. I asked him how long could I wait on the repairs and he replied "I wouldn't recommend it" and since the truck is driven by my wife with our son to his school and back plus any local shopping that was needed I felt I couldn't wait and the new bill was going to be over $2,000!! I turns out that the brakes issued wasn't fixed and there would be an additional $700? And I had to ask them to cut the extra car keys I brought in for free at that point instead of a cost of $175 to cut 2 keys and program the 2 alarms as well. I got an "I will do it as a something, like it was going to hurt their business in doing so? Unbelievable! Needless to say I talked to the Service Manager Tim to get a clear picture of the issues and they did fix the brake issue, cut the 2 keys, but couldn't link the remotes to the alarm system as apparently that also has a repair issue there? I've completely lost trust in their service department, what was going to be in and out in one day ended up being 7 days. Not acceptable due to the poor communication skills and the overall costs the dealership charges, while Tim their Service Manager did work with us to cut down the price some it still cost me $1500 for an Oil & Filter change, 2 keys cut and a valve replacement in the brake system. Just insane in my opinion. More

My service rep. was great. Really impressed with my rep. Also thought the LYFT service was a real plus. My only complaint was the car was not washed or cleaned. When I bought this vehicle new the window sticker said AUTOMATIC transmission not some cummings whatever.For the dual clutch to go out after only 81000 miles which an automatic wouldnt have is rediculous.And then charge me over 1700 labor on a 586 part is even worse.And on top of that Ford is suppose to have an extended powertrain warranty on 2016 Ford Focuses which they will not honor. to top it off this morning I got an email that I have an oil leakage that I have to pay 180.00 dollars. they did not mention this when I picked up the vehicle. It is probably something they did because nobody has ever said anything when IVE HAD OIL CHANGES AND THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING WHEN I BROUGHT IN FOR A FACTORY RECALL. copy of this letter is going to Ford Motor Company More
