From choosing a car to paying for the car, every detail was taken care of in a professional, thoughtful, and honest way. I have already recommended Tony to several friends and I plan to go back the next time we buy a car. There is no other dealership that we will ever go to. I bought a Malibu from them. I've had nothing but mechanical issues with the car. I also got extra coverage for the car that unfortunately isn't covered with the issues I've had. We purchased a 2009 BMW X5 from Frontline Auto Brokers in Longmont a week ago. The reason we ended up purchasing a vehicle from Frontline was because we were looking to replace the BMW we lost in an acciden Longmont a week ago. The reason we ended up purchasing a vehicle from Frontline was because we were looking to replace the BMW we lost in an accident several weeks earlier.and they were the closest dealer with the same make and model of vehicle. We specifically asked if the transmission was in good condition and we wanted to know if any work had been done on it or if it needed work. We were told that the transmission was in perfect working condition and it did not require any work. We also asked if there were any other mechanical issues that needed to be addressed and we were led to believe this was not the case. Our decision to purchase the BMW was predicated on the answers in the conversations we had with the salesperson who we trusted to be honest with us. What we were told was not true which we found out 3 days after we purchased the vehicle when the evidence of a bad transmission was glaringly obvious. We could not accelerate after we had to stop and we could barely move even when flooring the accelerator. The check engine light came on and the idling became erratic. We took the BMW to our mechanic and a sensor code came up, so he encouraged us to have the entire vehicle checked out. We called Frontline and told Bob what was going on with the car and explained that the repairs were going to be around $6,000 and he claimed that was excessive. He also claimed that the 1- month warranty would pay for the repair. Well, that too was a lie and he was well aware that the warranty only pays up to $1500 toward any repair which we found out a couple of days later. First, they lied to us so they could make a sale and then they lied again which proves that they are not a reputable dealership. The mechanic checked everything out and found that the vehicle that supposedly had a "perfect" transmission, in fact, has a bad transmission which needs to be replaced along with a sensor and back brake lights that have to be totally replaced since they put in the wrong size light bulbs which ended up melting so the entire light fixtures have to be replaced at an expense of $500. .We paid $9995 for the BMW and the total cost of the repairs it needs is $6700. Our mechanic called the warranty company and explained the problems in detail along with the cost of the repairs and even the warranty company said that Frontline should not have sold a car with these serious problems so they said we should take the car back. Our mechanic reiterated that sentiment since no reputable dealer should sell a car in such bad condition and it is not right for us to suffer financially because of disreputable business practices. We called Frontline as soon as the acceleration problem made it impossible to drive the BMW to explain what was going on with the car we purchased just 3 days earlier and then called again when we received the accurate documentation of the repairs needed and the total cost of those repairs. The last time we talked to Bob he was antagonistic, argumentative and combative. He literally said, "you get what you pay for" as he laughed at our expense. When a customer pays $9995 for a car they should not end up with a car that needs 3/4 of the purchase price in repairs. According to Bob, we didn't spend enough money to expect to get a car in good working order. The "as is" clause does not protect a dealership from fraudulent practices. We were lied to about the condition of the BMW and mocked when we contacted them about the serious mechanical issues that need to be repaired in order to be able to drive the vehicle we just purchased. Bob will not take the BMW back or exchange the BMW for a car that is in good mechanical condition and can be driven. A reputable dealer would have already taken the car back and made it right but Bob has no desire to do what is morally correct. This vehicle should never have been sold and reputable dealers would have sent it to auction rather than put a vehicle with a bad transmission on the lot to be sold to some unsuspecting customer who will surely suffer financially. We would encourage anyone who is thinking of doing business with Frontline Auto Brokers to think twice because they will not treat you right and they will not be honest about the condition of their cars. They have no problem taking advantage of you and selling you junk that will cause you financial hardship when you are forced to pay huge repair bills. This dealership should be investigated for deceptive business practices. More
We purchased a 2012 A4 with a useless warranty from Frontline. When we got home one of the headlights wasn’t working. I called and they repaired it right away. Good on them. We were told everything was Frontline. When we got home one of the headlights wasn’t working. I called and they repaired it right away. Good on them. We were told everything was in great working order. Well…. I have now spent 1000.00 on oil leaks and another 1000.00 on brakes. The car’s oil light kept coming on even after oil was put in the engine, so I took it to Audi. After another 500.00 in diagnostic charges we found out the car has an oil consumption problem and it will be TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS to fix. The warranty won’t help at all. I was fooled into thinking the gentlemen that work at frontline are great guys. Not the case. BUYER BEWARE. I am planning to report them to the BBB also. Oh and the car wasn’t smogged, so I had to pay for that, too!! More
