I contacted this dealership about possibly trading my vehicle in on one that they had. I told them that I did still owe some money on my current vehicle, but wasn’t sure the exact amount. I was told th vehicle in on one that they had. I told them that I did still owe some money on my current vehicle, but wasn’t sure the exact amount. I was told they would contact my finance company and get that amount. Upon receiving their offer and reviewing it, I was not willing to do a deal as I thought it was more than I was willing to pay, which is no problem. The problem occurred when I checked with my finance company myself and found that I actually owed $4,000 less on my vehicle than what their offer showed. Put in very simple terms, I feel that if I had taken their deal this would have been theft! I suggest they change their slogan from “we’re dealing” to “we’re stealing.” Sell a vehicle for how ever much you need to in order to make a profit and keep your dealership going, but do not be dishonest with customers or potential customers! Honesty still matters! More
This dealership is ridiculous. They had a price listed and an hour after communicating with them they got back to us but with an increased price. We asked them why was there an upcharge that changed on all of their listings(thankfully I took a picture), they asked for verification on that price, image was sent and they said because we had proof they would honor the price. Moving forward...we received a proposal discussing it and they said because we are out of state (CA) that we would have to do our own financing. We did our own financing and in the morning to finalize everything the salesperson told us IT CANNOT BE DONE because we are in CA. I called and spoke with the finance manager Scott Fields and he said because we are located in CA he clarified that we would have to do our own tax, title and fees in CA and they would need a check directly from our bank because they do not do any financing due to tax purposes. We told him we were informed and we would clarify with our bank and call back. His response was when you call back, direct this matter to sales manager Waylen Davenport. Now after confirming and calling back explaining to Mr. Davenport said the same thing as long as we were getting our financing and doing our own taxes and registration not included in the loan there should not be a problem but he needed to confirm. Got the call back and they said they could not work with us. The communication is HORRIBLE with this place, they had us run our credit and process a loan just to say they will not work with us. They were not blindsided by us as to where we were purchasing from, we communicated when we were moving forward, stayed in contact, called our bank and processed a loan all just to be told it CANNOT BE DONE! Let me first get out of the way that I love the car and the warranty. That's not the issue here. My issue is with a specific sales person, Scottie Austin, and the general manager, whom I'll get to in a sec the warranty. That's not the issue here. My issue is with a specific sales person, Scottie Austin, and the general manager, whom I'll get to in a second. During the paperwork, Scottie tried to sneak past an obviously inflated rate for the loan and when confronted with it, he back pedaled stating that it was the best available due to rising interest rates. I have very excellent credit and knew I could get a much lower rate. After some back and forth I finally told them I would get my own financing and they started racking on additional fees stating that the lender's rate was due to the deal I was receiving. I brought this to the attention of the general manager, Richard Black stock and he was very dismissive and condescending. It was only once I got corporate headquarters involved that I was able to get our agreed upon sale price and the car. The entire experience has left me with a horrible taste in my mouth about Friendship of Bristol, in terms of the sales department. Let me specify that the service department is excellent and that they understand the importance of building and fostering a relationship with their customers. If you plan on buying a vehicle through Friendship of Bristol, get your financing outside of their terms as this will serve you well and limit a stressful purchasing experience. More
They advertise their vehicles for a certain price then when you talk to them about a purchase there’s at least a 2,000 dollar add on of dealer fees or should I say hidden charges they add a ceramic coatin when you talk to them about a purchase there’s at least a 2,000 dollar add on of dealer fees or should I say hidden charges they add a ceramic coating to a 8 year old car for 998.00 dollars. Should be an option by customer or make the advertising price to reflect that. So the $17,250 advertised price was about $19,200 when you need to pay them. Was disappointed More
The salesperson was easy going and didn't try to hard sell me on a car. Their prices were fair according to Carfax and you can read the full Carfax report online for the cars they sell. The only drawback sell me on a car. Their prices were fair according to Carfax and you can read the full Carfax report online for the cars they sell. The only drawback is when I showed an interest in a car other than the one I came to see (it was much cheaper) he didn't follow up to see if it was available. I might have bought it if he had. More

My wife, Melissa, and I bought a 2022 Hyundai Palisade Limited, from Salesman Randy Gillian Thursday (08-12-2021) evening. We couldn't be more happy with this purchase and our experience. I've never had s Limited, from Salesman Randy Gillian Thursday (08-12-2021) evening. We couldn't be more happy with this purchase and our experience. I've never had such a smooth, painless, and timely car buying experience, than I did with Friendship Hyundai of Bristol. Finance Manager Charles McReynolds and Salesman Gillian were the most down to earth, yet professional, and caring men that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting & purchasing a vehicle from. They both made us feel completely comfortable, no pressure, we're attentive to our needs & questions, and made us feel like family. These professionals went above & beyond by completing our deal after hours, since we live 2 hours away, and had everything ready to go. Even our children loved them! We highly recommend friends, family, or anyone looking to purchase a vehicle, to go see Randy Gillian and Charles McReynolds... you won't be disappointed. More

The door handle still had tape from the body work! #5 speaking to business manager about this "we can't guarantee a car fax" you need to speak with used car sales manager That's FIVE reasons I won't recommend this dealership or it's management team.
