The dealer then passed me to another dealer that didn't seem at all interested or knowledgeable on the vehicles, every question I asked he had to check his phone for an answer... I wanted a specific color car they didn't have on the lot, and they told me they could dealer trade for it. I needed to value my older car with them and they took it and test drove it and looked it over. The initial dealer I had been greeted with came to tell me that I am a tad upside down (and I knew this) but he made me what I thought a fairly reasonable offer for how old my car was. I inquired if I could come back tomorrow while they locate the vehicle in the color I wanted, and they agreed happily. Upon return I was told by salesman two that the car I wanted with specific color was not produced (even though the vehicle and color were in the brochure...) I settled on a second color that they had on the lot and upon reviewing paperwork I noticed that the trade offer for my car was 3K less then what they offered yesterday. They said they called around to wholesalers and they offered me too much and that this is all they could do... I left, went to another dealership a tad south and got a incredible deal and they gave me more than what this dealer had originally offered for my car. Will never go back. More

Very bad experience with their dealership We had a very bad experience with the vehicle we purchaced from them. We immediatly had issues with vehicle and they refused any cooperation with us, We had a very bad experience with the vehicle we purchaced from them. We immediatly had issues with vehicle and they refused any cooperation with us, The CUSTOMER SERVICE is terrible and Our salesman and management avoided us , our problems, and our concerns or complaints. they drug out every concern we tried to take care of til we were basically stuck. Too many issues to even list with our encounter. Not at all happy with their dealership and DO NOT recommend. More
Expect them to lowball your trade in. They use black book to value your car. This ALWAYS favors the dealer. However, try to buy a used car and they will show you the value of their used car price from NADA o to value your car. This ALWAYS favors the dealer. Don't expect a good or great deal from them, just expect a deal. Wisdom and insight are you best friend when dealing with this dealership. The service department is descent. I have never had a problem with them concerning this. So a big thumbs up to their service department. If you shop here good luck.. In my opinion I would head to St Louis and get a much better deal. More
We were very disappointed with our visit to Honda of Illinois. We were looking at a 2012 Honda Odyssey. It was VERY busy on this Saturday afternoon (which we understood). We test drove the van and were in the process of having our car appraised. It was taking much longer than we had planned and had to leave for a family function. Our salesman was actually helping someone else at the same time, so we tracked down someone else and asked about our appraisal. The "appraiser" said they could not give us a value because they could not get our car started. So we HAD to leave without a word from Roman. Which we thought the "appraiser" would let him know and he would contact us on Monday. Monday came and went. I ended up calling that night and was told Roman was gone for the night. She would let him know I called, but Tuesday was his day off. Tuesday about 2 Roman called. I spoke with him about coming in and talking numbers. He stated he would be in Wednesday and I said I could come by in the afternoon. Well Wednesday came and a semi-emergency came up and I was not able to stop by. He never called to follow up! I did not hear from him until today (1 1/2 weeks later). A letter came in the mail "thanking" us for visiting and basically wanting our business. I really feel that they dropped the ball here! They did not want our business and acted uninterested in us! If Honda of Illinois is listening, we went 100 miles out of our way to buy a 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L at Bommarito (See my review on their page)!!! More

We live ~460 miles away from Honda of Illinois. I was interested in trading in my Honda to a used Volvo SUV they had listed at an unbeatable price. To ensure our drive was going to be worth our while, Ro interested in trading in my Honda to a used Volvo SUV they had listed at an unbeatable price. To ensure our drive was going to be worth our while, Rob worked with me to get an estimate for my trade in. He asked for pictures and detailed information about my vehicle. Then, he gave me a good trade-in price. At my husband's request, Rob also test drove the used Volvo we were interested in. He gave us an honest assessment on the vehicle and took lots of pictures. He also allowed me to put down a deposit so he can hold the vehicle for us until we could drive down to get it. In the end, our long road trip (even after staying overnight in a hotel) was all worth it! The price of the Volvo we bought can't be beat, plus, it had extra features we weren't expecting. More
Paul was amazing, I wish more sales people could be just like him. He took time to explain details about all the cars we were looking at. he was always polite and professional. He recognized us each time we drove up to the dealership, made us feel like we were coming home to family and friends. He walked us around the lot, showed us any car we wanted to see, he did not apply any "pressure" to make a sale. When we dropped a car off from a test drive he just asked if we had any questions, and said thanks and have a nice day. He would follow up later with an email. there was never any pressure. He showed us both Honda and Chevrolet. he knew a lot about not only the cars he was showing us but even the car we were driving, so he could help point out comparisons and differences. In the end we just chose not to buy a Honda but it was not for Paul. We wish we could buy all of our cars from Paul. And we hope we can work with him again in the future. More
