Terrible customer service post-purchase My wife and I purchased a 2007 Dodge Dakota from Friendly Chevrolet, and traded in a vehicle. I had an estimate of the payoff amount for the loan on My wife and I purchased a 2007 Dodge Dakota from Friendly Chevrolet, and traded in a vehicle. I had an estimate of the payoff amount for the loan on the vehicle we were trading in, but I did not have the exact amount when we completed the purchase. During the purchasing process we were assured multiple times that Friendly Chevrolet would contact the lender for the vehicle we were trading in, and our monthly payment amount would go up or down slightly depending on whether the actual payoff amount was higher or lower than my estimate. To this, my wife and I agreed, as we are both very busy people (at the time of purchase, I was working 70+ hours per week) and this would save us the time and hassle of contacting the bank and looking that info up. Therefore, we signed on the multiple dotted lines to purchase the vehicle. About a month later we started receiving delinquency notices regarding the loan on the vehicle we traded in. We contacted Friendly Chevrolet about this, since they were supposed to pay off the loan. We spoke with Brent and Mike in the finance department, and the conversations did not go very well. My wife spoke with them first and was able to get nowhere regarding our issue, and at one point in the conversation she was very flippantly told: “I don’t know why you are upset, you are going to pay the difference no matter what.” As you can imagine, this comment and the flippant derisive manner it was delivered did not help resolve the situation. I later that day had a relatively long conversation I believe with Mike, and the conversation consisted of him telling me that I was wrong, that Friendly Chevrolet would not do that. I was told this multiple times. When I informed the person I spoke with that I was told Friendly would verify the payoff amount on the trade in, his reply was: “You wouldn’t have been told that, we don’t do that.” I told him I was told that multiple times, the reply again was: “We don’t do that.” I then replied, “Well, whether you do or don’t do that, I was assured multiple times that you would do that. Therefore, I had a very reasonable expectation that Friendly Chevrolet WOULD do that.” I was able to get him to say he would look into the matter and get back to me on Monday. I spoke with him on a Saturday afternoon. I ended the conversation by observing that I was looking forward to hearing from him on Monday afternoon regarding how the situation was going to be resolved. Neither my wife nor I received a phone call on Monday, nor any subsequent phone calls from Friendly Chevrolet since we called in with this financing issue. I personally left at least 3 voicemail messages and called in at least 10 additional times without leaving a voicemail. By that point, no matter my own stubbornness, it was pretty apparent that Friendly Chevrolet was not going to return or even answer my phone calls. All in all, pretty terrible customer service. More

Ripped off on repairs and stolen property from truck I brought my truck into friendly for a misfire in the 4th cylinder. I understood that this would be a spendy repair but I trusted them. They charged me $3,000 and my truck had the same issue in 1 day. When I called and brought it back we argued for weeks over the fact they didn’t fix anything. They finally admit fault and make the necessary repairs and charge me for parts only. Then when I go to pick up my truck my door is unlocked no signs of breaking in and my aftermarket pioneer deck is completely gone. I ask my service advisor NICK, who immediately blamed me the customer who trusted my truck in their possession. It was professionally removed with nothing broken and nothing else stolen, which included a fuzz buster and a bunch of Oakley’s other countless high dollar items. Bottom line friendly Fridley isn’t friendly at all don’t bring service to these guys they’re money hungry not customer service driven. More

I had purchased my 2011 Malibu at Friendly Chevrolet a few years ago so I went there again to look at a used Equinox. After looking over a number of their 2016 & 2017 Equinox's I narrowed my decision down to 2. Their salesperson Charlie Koppy came over & struck up a conversation. His first question was if I needed more time to look things over or if I had any questions. He was very professional & did not put any pressure on me. We took the 2016 for a test drive & Charlie answered all my questions from pricing to warranty to technical questions. More

If I’m am paying for a diagnostic and I come back home to my mechanic after you guys had done work, there is no way I should have not known that the car I just bought has no air filter, tire pressure was at 60 pounds, oil is dirty and I barely have any. I was never giving any update on the services I need to repair or how long the life of the main services on the vehicle would last. If I was still being serviced at Lupient Kia and I spent a thousand dollars my first visit, I would know my tire life, all of my fluids would have been drained and refilled, I would know my tire life, battery life, and I would definitely know that there was no air filter in my car. I guess because my car is over 100,000 miles it’s not treated with the proper care at you guys’ facility. More
Awesome customer service and easy to deal with I had never dealt with an out of state car dealer before no one in my area could find me the truck I wanted, so I had seen Friendly had one in Minneso I had never dealt with an out of state car dealer before no one in my area could find me the truck I wanted, so I had seen Friendly had one in Minnesota called them up and they already had it sold, but Chris had found me one in North Dakota and had it there in a week . He went way out of his way to find this one it being one of the last 2019 's around. Everyone I had dealt with was very friendly from sales to financing , and they gave me a decent price for my trade in. Next time I'm in the market for a new vehicle I will definitely call Chris Cummings first. Thanks, Joe Taylor More

I left about 2 hours later with a new truck I could not ask for more very pleased with them chriss cummings was my sales person , he will do all he can to put a deal together for you!!!! More

Went to another tire place, waited for 2 hours to be seen, just to find out that Chevrolet did not put the old tire with the rim into my car. So i had to drive back to the dealership to get my rim. Not only did they not apologize, they said it was a miscommunication. Unacceptable and rude, and a waste of my time. More

No dashboard warning lights or anything lit up so I figured I was getting a decent to and from work and backup family vehicle. Boy, was I mistaken! I took the vehicle home on 2/9/19, and did not drive until Monday 2/11/19. On my way to work, the check engine, battery, and brake light came on. On my way to work on 2/12/19 the car was not running properly. After speaking with the used car manager, he basically told me to bring it in for a free inspection so that they could show me exactly what IWOULD NEED TO FIX. I attempted to do this, and the car died on the middle of University avenue and about 85th. I'm extremely upset that I'm now out the $2700 the vehicle cost me, plus $250 to have it towed to my TRUSTED garage, plus what will end up being $3500 for a motor rebuild due to faulty timing belt, head gasket leaks, extremely worn brakes. I'm extremely upset because they KNEW that I needed this car for family reasons. I believe that cars like the one I purchased thinking it was at the very least driveable, should last more than THREE DAYS. I have no recourse but to pay the loan. They have offered me nothing in return for the piece of crap experience that I've had but to bring the vehicle in to tell me what is wrong with it. Why would I bring it back to the place that sold me a vehicle that didn't even last me three days or two trips to and from my job? It is absolutely rediculous to not be able to expect a quality vehicle from a 'reputable, friendly' chevrolet dealership. Negative three stars More
