Ten Thousand Dollars for a Piece of Junk I purchased a used Toyota Tacoma from Friendly Chevrolet in May of this year (2017). I made a huge mistake by going to Friendly. Only a few days after I purchased a used Toyota Tacoma from Friendly Chevrolet in May of this year (2017). I made a huge mistake by going to Friendly. Only a few days after I drove the truck home, the brakes started squealing. When I emailed the salesperson, that I had dealt with at Friendly, to explain what was happening, and to ask if I could bring the truck in for diagnostics and repairs, I was told that the truck was deemed "legally allowable to sell," and that I could bring the truck in, but that any servicing of the truck would have to be covered by me personally, or by the insurance plan that I had purchased. Again, this was less than a week after I purchased the vehicle. AlSO, there were small amounts of rust on the truck, that I asked about before purchasing. A salesman confidently assured me, while we were checking out the truck on the lot, that the rust was only surface rust, and that it could be easily repaired. Well, two weeks ago I took the truck to a body shop, and was told that the rust repairs would be thousands of dollars to fix! And, that given the value of the truck, the repairs just weren't worth doing. I was literally told by the body shop to "Just drive the truck, and let it rust. It's too far gone." THEN, this week the muffler on the truck just fell off... It literally just fell off the truck. I paid over ten thousand dollars for this truck! I have had the truck for a little over two months now, and could not be less happy. Do not purchase from these people! More
