Once my husband and I decided on the traverse we wanted, Nick helped us to get a great deal. I came in to check out a F150 that was recently traded with low miles. After intense pressure from the salesman to purchase the vehicle, I simply stated that I wanted to speak with my wife about the truck before purchasing. He pressed on to ask what I needed from my wife to make the decision; which is non of their business IMO. So they gave me the keys to show the wife the truck and was informed that the truck was inspected by the service team and showed me the oil change, tire rotation, etc. The truck drove fine and my wife approved so I had my credit union line up a small loan for me to go back and make the deal. What they didn't know is that I had planned to have the vehicle inspected by a local mechanic (Law Automotive is AWESOME!). They even had good things to say about a Salesman named LT that works for them, so they weren't biased in any way. After the inspection, I first hand saw what was going on with the truck - all tires were mismatched and one tire was the original manufacture tire that came with the truck 10 years ago, both front strut springs were shattered, the truck bed was nearly rusted off the frame, brake fluid line was bulging and about to burst, fluid leaks, etc. I never would have paid for the inspection had they been upfront about the struts alone, which any mechanic would spot with minutes; the truck was sitting 2 inches too low in the front. Overall the inspection took 20 minutes and so I immediately went back and vented my frustrations to the sales team and took my Acadia keys back from them. They asked me to send them the inspection report so I did, again AT MY COST. Even worse, the truck is still for sale online! - 2008 F150 with 50,000 miles The mechanic estimated that the truck was worth $3k, yet Friendly Chevrolet wanted over $13k for the truck. Had they been truthfully upfront about the truck, I would've purchased the 2nd truck I was looking at for $17,000. Message to potential buyers - get the inspection no matter what, it's well worth the $$, only $50 for mine. The salesman I worked with even knew I only wanted the truck for the bed so I could easily haul my kayaks. I could've bought the truck and drove off with my $4k Hobie Pro Angler 14 only to watch my truck bed fall off on the interstate. Good luck out there. Update, went to McLaughlin Dealer in Moline, Illinois and wow, what a group of professional salesman in a family owned store. They didn't go back and forth with me and met my exact needs and no pressure whatsoever. Happily purchased a 2012 Silverado with 55,000 miles with out the door price of 15k, incredible. They showed me their inspection and it matched where I had it inspected, no issues. Go outside Springfield!! and for you "Friendly" Chevrolet, you won't get a dime of my warranty or outside warranty work, you lost out. More

Our salesman was able to complete the sale quickly when we called to say we wanted the car. We were in for less than an hour signing papers, getting plates, and waiting for the car to finish being detailed in the service shop. He was extremely up front and honest with my wife and I, and even contacted a feq time throughout the following week to let us know what other offers he had available.. He's exactly what success is all about. Courteous, friendly, and he doesn't beat around the bush.. I can guarantee that when I AM ready to purchase a new vehicle, Roger is the man I will go see. More
