i would do about anything to have my 1993 Lumina back. I have been a customer of Friendly Chevrolet since the early nineties. Between family members and myself I can recall purchases of at least 30 and I have been a customer of Friendly Chevrolet since the early nineties. Between family members and myself I can recall purchases of at least 30 and maybe 35 or forty new Chevrolet products. One exception was a beautiful sixties model El Camino Actually the one thing that keeps me coming back is the staff that works there, especially Mr. Kurt Bushnell. I just traded in a 1998 Lumina and also a 2013 to complete the transaction. I simply like Chevrolets. and especially Mr. Bushnell and staff. More
Buying Used at Friendly Chevrolet I had been shopping for a used van since March (I wasn't in any hurry) and I'd gone to several other dealerships to look at the inventory they had in I had been shopping for a used van since March (I wasn't in any hurry) and I'd gone to several other dealerships to look at the inventory they had in stock and talk to salesmen. I had a couple take my name and promise they would call when something came in that met my criteria, and I had taken test drive at one of the "more prevalent" dealerships. But either they didn't call back or they were high-pressure and spouting car-selling cliche's ("What can I do to get you into this van today?", and so forth). Stopped by Friendly just to see what they had and Mike Lord opened up three vans for me. We talked about them, I did some measurements, and he gave me his card. He said I was welcome to come back with my "cargo" to see if it would fit (dog crates) in any of the vans (this is a big thing to dog sports competitors - generally the dealerships don't want you schlepping crates in and out of their vans). I did my own research on the van I wanted, returned for a test drive, and sat down to the (dreaded) negotiation process. It was one of the most-respectful negotiations we'd ever gone through on a car - no high-pressure, no cliche's, just nice people negotiating for a vehicle! Would have given five stars, but the end process (getting the van cleaned up, answering a few questions, getting the paperwork done) seemed to take a long time, and the "finance guy" did start asking about whether we wanted to buy a warranty (back to the car-selling cliche's). More
