The disappointment, not major, was in the condition of the 'certified used car.' The headlight plastic on the New Beetle should not have been glazed over, an easy fix. Also, we found the spare tire was not seated flat against the spare tire wheel well. It seems something hit the car from underneath, causing the wheel well to bend upward causing the spare tire to protrude up into the luggage compartment, eliminating a completely flat floor and making it difficult to close the spare wheel compartment door. It is a bit disconcerting to have to go to a body shop to bend the wheel well back into its original shape right after purchasing the car. It doesn't seem to be a difficult fix, but it should have been unnecessary. More
