Since they were close, I limped into the TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY THIS DEALER SERVICE. My car began to miss and stutter on my way to work in Fremont. Since they were close, I limped into their service the Friday before Xmas. After giving me initial attitude about 'not having an appointment[' (who plans a breakdown?) they looked at the car and said, "yeah looks like a head gasket leak." $1100 later I have new plugs and wires (labor was $650) and drive out. Two blocks later the check engine light comes on again and I returned immediately. Had to rent a car ($30) to get home that night and to return on Saturday. Pick it up the next day and basically get some story about 'the thermostat might be bad' but I should get home all right. Today my local guy checked it out - nothing wrong there, but I do need a new head gasket - which is what fouled the wires and plugs in the first place! Imagine if they had just fixed that instead of the 'quick fix'. Also, no way they spent $650 on labor. My guy says he could have done it 2.5 hours. So their labor rate is $265 an hour? Way to take advantage of someone in need. TOTAL CROOKS. More

My service guy kept complaining that they don't have enough mechanics and that its a difficult place to work, news flash for you my friend, customers don't care about your employee problems. Just change my xxxx oil so I can be on my way. After 7 hours and me harrassing them to get my oil changed so i could leave, they finally did it. To top it off the guy asks me to give him a good review when Toyota calls to ask how my service went, sure pal I can't wait to talk to them... More

Dropped it off in the morning right when they opened and throughout the day I called three times to get a status on my Camry. They did not return a single massage and I left several. I finally went down to see if it was done as I didn't receive any kind of update and a rep who didn't help me when I dropped off the car tells me it looks like its been done for a couple of hours, I was completely smh, they couldn't even call to tell me it was done. I then wait for them to bring my car and they couldn't find it, I waited for 45 minutes while they looked for my car. Then I was told they found it but couldn't find the keys, I was shocked. Finally after waiting an hour and a half they brought my car up. There was no apology, no sorry for the wait, sorry we didn't call you, nothing. Customer service does not exist in this place. More
The service department here is AWFUL! I went in on 07/28/17 for a simple oil change with an appointment. I waited there for over 30 minutes while the employees all passed me by without so much as even an acknowledgment. When I went to complain to the service manager, his name was Tim, he was like, "Stay with your car and someone will be with you." What a joke... After 45 minutes I was finally helped and then I waited there for almost three hours for my oil change. I could care less that Toyota is paying for my free service, next time I will go to the oil change places that get me in and out and I will actually pay for it; my time and dignity are worth a whole lot more than $50.00. More

air bag diagnostic I got into an accident and the air bag light came on as a result. Insurance said I had to prove its because of the accident. Well let see it came on right after the accident so if it quacks it must of a duck. No just because I have never had a diagnostic of my car to compare too and the car they just service had the same problem. They told me its due to wear and tear and not from the car that ram into me. That was it no discussing all they care was I never got a diagnostic there and they did their lame job, end of discussion. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED A DIAGNOSTIC!!! And don't by Toyota Camry there is alot of complaints online about air bag suddenly lighting up. Check the reviews before you buy a camry, something i will NEVER do again. More
Get serviced here and get punctured for free!! The guys here will poke your car tire and get some business to fix the tire or try to sell new tires by justifying it can't be fixed. Even when you have a service appointment, you don’t. I needed 150,000-mile service and was rather surprised when I called in on Friday afternoon and was able to get an appointment for the next day. I gladly took them up on their offer and was given an appointment time. I was asked my name, what I needed to have done and was told to just show up at my appointment time. I showed up about 5-minutes before my appointment and was rather surprised to see a huge line. About 30 minutes go by and I was finally given a number for a representative to talk me about what I needed, at that time I was number 29 but I had an appointment and that did not include the people who just showed up nor the people who just filled out a form and left keys in the car before leaving. At the 50-minute mark I was finally approached by my new found friend the service representative, who proceed to get the info about my car and ask what service I needed, never mind I had already given all of this info to the person the day before. I explained what I needed again and then the upsell started. When I told him ALL I needed was the 150,000-mile service and did not need anything else. I think he apologized 6-times for being late and the process talking so long but I had an appointment (you could tell this was well rehearsed and said often). From start to finish the drop off of my car took an just a little over an hour, but I had an appointment. If I did this to one of my customers, I would be immediately fired - it just sad that in this day and age there is no more customer service and it has become the norm and accepted, but I had an appointment. I wish I could say this was my first bad experience with Fremont Toyota, but it is not and I should have learned from the first time to NEVER come back. More
