Routine service is always performed efficiently, and the rare major problems (like replacing the catalytic converter) have been handled well. When my Prius was new I tried another Toyota dealer for service (because it was closer to my office). Bad experience, and Fremont Toyota has earned my customer loyalty by always doing regular maintenance r service (because it was closer to my office). Bad experience, and Fremont Toyota has earned my customer loyalty by always doing regular maintenance right, being good about time estimates, pricing reasonably, and holding onto long-time employees who are courteous and know my car's service history even before they log on for the record. We have had only two major problems - the catalytic converter and the brake control chip failed - but at such high mileage that Toyota gets great credit for building reliable parts. For long-distance commuters, this means peace of mind. We are also still on the original brakes at 270,000mi. Other dealers might have tried to fake some problems just to up their bill. My perception of Fremont Toyota is that they have been honest, and that's a good thing. More
Fremont Toyota service is positively horrible. I was charged $771.40 for a 90k service on my Scion (by the way, their website says it's $419.95 but apparently they don't include a number of other requir charged $771.40 for a 90k service on my Scion (by the way, their website says it's $419.95 but apparently they don't include a number of other required service items on their website). This service was to include inspecting the breaks, flushing the coolant, and 8 more items. When I got it back there were still some noises so I brought it somewhere else to get inspected. I found that they did not do the work they said they did (no break inspection -- they said my breaks were at 5MM but it turns out they were nearly gone at 1MM! -- coolant was bad, tires were underinflated). They said they would do the work again. Of course it is hard to trust them so I asked for compensation instead. They refused. They said they would give me a free carwash/detail for my trouble. I don't want that -- I want the "peace of mind" that they advertise on their website and that I paid for. I have now been forced by Fremont Toyota file complaints. I have never done that and so am spending more time on this. I am completely frustrated with their service director, Alfred Shahgholian, who really just wanted to argue with me that they did the work and so won't give me any refund. He did acknowledge that they made the mistake on the breaks, and his service manager, Matt, said that flushing the coolant system "is art not science" and sometimes there is still contamination in there. That's bogus. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. More

They have always given me fair estimates of both cost and time needed for the work. They are courteous and the quality of maintenance could not be better. After a quarter million miles of smooth performance, I rate these gentlemen tops in their field and will return to Fremont Toyota. More

Toyota recalled my 2006 Highlander Hybrid for factory warranty service on the IPM (Intelligent Power Module). I called and made an appointment. The person with whom I spoke was courteous and efficient. warranty service on the IPM (Intelligent Power Module). I called and made an appointment. The person with whom I spoke was courteous and efficient. I arrived on the day of the appointment about 30 minutes early. I was met immediately by Ray, the service advisor, my car was taken in and work began immediately. I chose to wait for the service as Ray said it would be about four hours. Ray even gqve me a coupon for a free diet coke! An hour into the service, Ray said it would take all day, so he arranged for a shuttle (no charge) to take me home. My wife brought me back toward the end of the working day. Ray delivered my Highlander not only fixed, but washed! As Ray had said, the service was completely covered by my warranty. I've driven it for two days with no hint of problem. My wife and I have used this dealership for 15 years with various of our Toyotas. Our experience has almost always been positive just like this time. More

They are very busy at this dealership. I'm sure this is because they do a great job and are easy to work with. I drive to Fremount from other side of San Jose for service and bought my last two cars there because they do a great job and are easy to work with. I drive to Fremount from other side of San Jose for service and bought my last two cars there because they treat you well. I drive by my local Toyota dealer because I've had serveice there before many years ago and looked for new cars there before and they look you up and down and seem to be evaluating wheather or not they think you can afford to buy a car......in other words if you aren't dressed well if you come in your work clothes you will be treated differently.
