I brought e RAV4 that I purchased from your dealership for an issue that I reported few times in the past. The issue that I had complained about was that the brakes were making a squealing noise in the m for an issue that I reported few times in the past. The issue that I had complained about was that the brakes were making a squealing noise in the morning and at times during the day too. The first few visits, I was told that it was some dust that had to dust off and the noise should go away - to begin with, this is bull crap! This time around I brought it for a different reason - it was that my brake was actually making a funny noise when applied as if it is getting locked. The second reason was that my front of the car is vibrating badly when drove at higher speeds over 70 or 75 miles per hour. As I explained this to the gentleman, I can feel some reluctance in accepting the issues but reluctantly went for a test drive. On the drive, I was told the bull crap story again how it is normal for brakes to squeal and even his truck does it blah blah. Whoever gets to read this review - go and google and you'll know why the brakes squeal. As it happens, the test drive did found issues with the brakes, some air that needs to be drained, and if that doesn't fix then the parts to be replaced. So I had to leave the car overnight so that they can do the service at peace. I got a call back the next morning saying that they completed service and problem didn't reoccur after the service so they didn't have to replace any spare. On the second issue " I was actually told that that is how car drives, there's nothing they could do to check the vibration. Tires are good and when they test drove there was nothing found to be wrong" I went to pick my car up, then i get told slowly that they actually rotated the tires before they road tested for vibration at high speed, may be that might have fixed the issue. What I am highlighting here is that attitude of service needs to be felt by the customer, feel that you are taken care of. I don't want to feel that since its a free service under warranty, I'll get half service. Last but not least - Customer Service is a mindset and attitude that you have to wear - if you wear it like a job that pays bills, you'll not excel. If you are wondering the service customer retention being low, now you will know why. Next time you sell a car to the customer - Please tell them Toyota brakes squeal irrespective of the miles you put on them, you also tell the customer that the car will vibrate badly when drove at or above 70mph. You will see how many customers actually want to buy the car.th More
