Steve made excuses why they don't have the car while holding on to a deposit, which they should never have asked for in the first place, is ridiculous. Now, we have filed complaints with the credit card company for fraud. Was told by the credit card company that they have heard this before from this specific dealer. The friendliness of Steve seemed genuine until he started complaining and whining that the dealership loses money on every sale they make through the Costco program because the dealership has to pay a $300 fee to Costco for the sale. Scam artists! At first I loved "Exciting" Gilroy Toyota. They found the car I wanted, for less than other dealers, and I never felt pressured to purchase additional premiums like prepaid main Gilroy Toyota. They found the car I wanted, for less than other dealers, and I never felt pressured to purchase additional premiums like prepaid maintenance. Three days after signing the contract, driving off the lot, & one day after my bank paid off the car in full, Jason calls to tell me his salesperson made a mistake. According to him, Toyota does not allow customers to receive two discounts. He tells me they made a mistake by giving me the college grad rebate & the down payment assistance rebate, both of which were given to beat an offer from a another dealer who did not have the color I wanted. Now Jason tells me I must either pay $1000, finance through Toyota instead of my bank (they've already sent the check to the dealer), or bring the car back even though they sold my truck that I traded in. Jason says a clause in the contract says they can change the contract if they are not able to secure financing for me. He claims that this qualifies, although he had money in hand from my bank. I am currently working with lawyers. More
I have been to to almost all the dealerships in the bay area and this was my last stop. They had offered the best online quote which is why we went there. We were so tired of salesmen of other dealership area and this was my last stop. They had offered the best online quote which is why we went there. We were so tired of salesmen of other dealerships trying to get quote from their manager and wasting 2-3 hours of our time! Don't these people value time!!! GT did not waste our time and we worked out the numbers pretty fast unfortunately they did not have the car we needed in stock that day and we had to buy a car within next four days. Our two months rental was coming to an end. I got a lot of quotes after from other dealerships but whenever I decide on a Toyota again I will definitely go back. More

They cheated my father out of lots of money. They did not discount the Matrix model that they sold (eminently discountable), and gave my father many thousands of dollars less than low blue book price on not discount the Matrix model that they sold (eminently discountable), and gave my father many thousands of dollars less than low blue book price on his trade. Later on they sold his old car on their lot for 5 thousand dollars more than blue book. They are crooks who take advantage of those who are not totally watching out for their crookedness. My father had dealt with them 5 years ago and they treated him fairly then (maybe he was watching them more closely). He let down his guard with them this time -- even though he's not senile or alzheimer's patient, he has slowed down a bit. It must make them very proud to cheat an 86 year old!!! More
