I brought my Toyota FJ in for the third time for air conditioner repair. after two days, we were informed that it would be five grand to repair it and that they would need to wait for parts, but no loan conditioner repair. after two days, we were informed that it would be five grand to repair it and that they would need to wait for parts, but no loaner cars were available. We picked up the car to be able to use it while we waited for the parts to come in. After about a week they called for the vehicle and it was repaired in a reasonable amount of time. after getting the vehicle back, The stereo aux in was not working. It took three days to get a response back, and the vehicle was brought in. in two hours were informed that it was repaired. after I received the vehicle, It still didn’t work. The aux was now selectable on the stereo, but it still did not work. after two days of trying to communicate with the CSR. My partner who is an aviation quality control, inspector finally had enough and pulled up a “YouTube” video on how to access the stereo and found that the aux plug connector was disconnected and sitting under the dash connector itself. He had it repaired in a half an hour with no prior knowledge of the system. His comment was “this is entirely a rookie move, did they not ops check it before delivering it back to you?” I have owned this vehicle since 2007 when I bought it new and all maintenance has been at Toyota dealerships and this has been the worst customer service experience I’ve received at any dealership. My partner’s frustration is that he was Mr. Freeman‘s maintenance manager for his Hawker aircraft, And that he was the one that recommended that I go to this location. I know that he has no control over your maintenance operation, but he felt like I should have have a better customer service experience based on his relationship with Mr. Freeman and he did take a personally. I have owned this vehicle for 17 years and it has been Exceptionally well taken care of. And obviously, I still enjoy this vehicle immensely or I wouldn’t have reinvested $5000 into it, But this Service event has me questioning your ability to maintain Toyota vehicles. More
