FRAUD ALERT!!! Every stereotype you could ever imagine FRAUD ALERT!!! Every stereotype you could ever imagine about car salesmen proves true at this shady dealership. Let’s start with the internet qu FRAUD ALERT!!! Every stereotype you could ever imagine about car salesmen proves true at this shady dealership. Let’s start with the internet quote. We began our interaction with Freehold Hyundai with a request for an online quote. The quote came back quickly and was fairly reasonable—about $2800 below sticker price. Based on the quote, we scheduled an appointment to test drive the vehicle. At that time, we began to negotiate with the manager and got another $700 off the internet quote; the price included freight. We indicated we needed to think about it and he indicated that there was more wiggle room on the price. He directed me to speak directly with the salesman whenever I was ready to negotiate further. He indicated that although they didn’t have the car on the lot, they could get it in a day or two. Although we asked, they refused to give us the quote in writing. In retrospect, a red flag. I called the salesmen the next day and left a message. No returned phone call. Then I called the day after that and left another message. No returned phone call. Then I called the manager later that day and left a message. No returned phone call. The following day I called the general number and refused to get off the phone until they put the manager on. He finally came to the phone, reiterated the price, and encouraged me to come in. That night we went back to the Freehold Hyundai to negotiate further. At first, they denied having given us the price they gave us. Then after we went through the conversation note by note, they acknowledged the price. However, they refused to negotiate any further, despite what they’d said earlier. “Ok,” we said, “we’ll take it at that price” The salesman agreed and began writing it up. Then he said he had to speak to a different manager, because the original manager wasn’t there. This manager refused to honor the agreed upon price. In fact, she refused to sell the car for any amount below sticker price. We left the dealership outraged and committed to speaking with the original manager again. We left several messages which he neglected to return. One time, we called the general number, got him on the phone, he said he’d call back in a few minutes and didn’t call for two days. Finally, we showed up at the dealership on a day we knew he was working. He eventually acknowledged his quote, but said that it was “just a ballpark” estimate. In fact, the price would be the original internet quote, $700 above what we had discussed. We knew we were being scammed, but wanted the car, so we agreed to the extra $700 and the manager began writing up the sale. As he did so, he told us that the price did not include freight, an extra $750 which directly contradicted what he had originally showed us on the estimate. (This is the written estimate that they drew up, but refused to give us a copy of.) And, he added, the internet quote assumed that we qualified for certain rebates that no one on the planet would qualify for. (One criterion—the owner loyalty rebate—didn’t apply to us because even though we presently own a Santa Fe which we bought new from the dealer, you don’t get the discount unless you purchased a Hyundai from them within the last 6 months!) Therefore, $1,500 more would have to be added to the price. So now, we’re right back up knocking on the door of sticker price. When we informed the manager that we would be informing Hyundai corporate of the fraudulent, bait and switch, sleaze tactics that they had been using, they couldn’t have cared less. As the manager said, “This is the way we do quotes at Freehold Hyundai. I can’t speak for how other dealerships work.” That pretty much sums it up. And unless you enjoy deceptive tactics, empty promises, and aggravation, STAY AWAY from Freehold Hyundai! More

We were greeted at the door by Mike Q who was our salesman. He was friendly and courteous and very knowledgable about the Sonata (our vehicle of choice) and the various trim levels. We intended just salesman. He was friendly and courteous and very knowledgable about the Sonata (our vehicle of choice) and the various trim levels. We intended just to look and price shop at other dealers. However, the price we negotiated was good enough that we decided to buy from Freehold Hyundai based not solely upon price, but the friendly efficient attitude of Mike Q. Not only were we able to complete the transaction, but the dealer was able to prep the car and deliver it to us that same day. This was a very pleasant surprise given that we have never bought a vehicle and taken it home in one day before. The transaction was completed with Lorenzo, the financial manager who was equally friendly and knowledgable. The paperwork was completed efficiently and quickly. If anyone thnks that buying a car has to be stressful, go to Freehold Hyundai for a surprise. Martin and Wendy Rahn More

The process was simple. I shopped around a bit, but found the best price here. I didn't feel pressured the first time so I went back (feeling pressured is a tunr-off for me so...) The second time was found the best price here. I didn't feel pressured the first time so I went back (feeling pressured is a tunr-off for me so...) The second time was a breeze. We walked through the process with ease. Everyone was friendly and the deal was good. Second Hyundai... and for the next one I'd definitely go back here. More
I have a 2007 Azera Limited. It is a great car. My results are the evidence for the quality of their service - Simply put, their repairs work. When one part was out of stock and the delay was 2 days - results are the evidence for the quality of their service - Simply put, their repairs work. When one part was out of stock and the delay was 2 days - then they gave me a loaner. I needed tha part because I went to an express type of oil change place and they messed up the oil pan cover re-installation after the change. It fell off on the highway, broke off and was destroyed. I now get my oil changes at the dealer (for 1/2 the price of the express place). I like that when I make an appointment, they estimate how long the job will take and best of all, they meet their time estimate. I live 30 minutes away from them and 10 minutes from another dealer - the 30 minutes drive gets me a much fairer repair price, on-time completion and zero arrogance. I always wait in the lobby for my service to be done rather than driving back and forth. But it is always a good thing. More

The paperwork was explained in detail and I didn't feel like I was being duped all of my questions and were very knowledgeable about their product.
