I came into Freehold Hyundai seeking to purchase a 2011 Sonata. The initial quote was "high 500's/month". FIVE MINUTES LATER it was "high 300's/month". Apparently sales people there are TRAINED to assume t Sonata. The initial quote was "high 500's/month". FIVE MINUTES LATER it was "high 300's/month". Apparently sales people there are TRAINED to assume that their customers' credit rating is terrible and that the quotes should be lowered by the MINUTE! Well MY credit rating is an 840 so you can't assume that every sale at Freehold Hyundai should be GOUGED to a figure where the dealership will profit to the tune of $10,000 per car! I talked to the manager of Freehold Hyundai and she CONFIRMED that her salespeople must be trained to (a) assume a low credit from customers and (b)initiate negotiations with the potential customer at a ridiculously HIGH quote and go from there! Freehold Hyundai must be investigated for POOR training practices, POOR sales practices, and POOR management practices. This form of sales has been going on for YEARS and apparently they are seeking to GOUGE, not compete properly with other car dealerships! More

I went to this dealership with every intention of buying a new 2011 Hyundai sonata. After bargaining back and forth and the salesmen (Frank) not taking no for an answer I was pressured not only by him but a new 2011 Hyundai sonata. After bargaining back and forth and the salesmen (Frank) not taking no for an answer I was pressured not only by him but by all management to go into a lease. I left with my new car happy as ever. Was told I had all the approvals but then after having the car for 3 days got a phone call saying I needed to come in. They told me I had two choices to either put down 7,500$ down payment ( after I had already traded in a car and left $1,000) or give up my brand new car I had been driving for 3 days. Needless to say I had to go back get back my old car hand over my new car after I was assured everything was ok. They had no respect for me what so ever. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone all their ads are scams ( even the salesmen told my mother that its just to get people in their for higher end cars) and they just want to make sales! More
3 people lied to me regarding the "Special " pricing that they had going on. I wasted over 2 hours of my day going to the showroom only to be lied to again. I decided to stop in at Lester Glenn in Toms River they had going on. I wasted over 2 hours of my day going to the showroom only to be lied to again. I decided to stop in at Lester Glenn in Toms River. I worked with Heather and walked out with a car. A brand new 2011 Accent. No pressure, no lies. It was a very good experience and I WILL recommend this dealership to everyone I know and everyone I work with. Heather went above and beyond to get me into my new car. She went so far as to even deliver it to my house. YAY TO LESTER GLENN..... More
I purchased a 2011 Sonata with an aftermarket sunroof (against my better judgement). The sunshade was difficult to open and the sunglass holder didnt open at all. I made an appt. on a Saturday, one week (against my better judgement). The sunshade was difficult to open and the sunglass holder didnt open at all. I made an appt. on a Saturday, one week after buying the car.Ron, the service advisor, told me the sunroof installer was closed Saturday and I would have to come back. The called me the following Monday to make the appt. I made it for Tuesday of the following week. My wife brought the car in. She waited 45 minutes before they even took her keys. They did provide a free loaner car. They took 3 days to fix this. When we went back to get it, the first thing I noticed was the car was filthy. It was spotless when it was dropped off. Then I saw black grease or adhesive on the driver's side of the vehicle which is white. I asked Ron to look at it. He offered no apologies. I asked that it be washed. He said the guy was cleaning another car and I would have to wait. I couldnt wait and we left. The sad part is, the sunshade is still hard to open. The sunglass holder was repaired. Feel free to email me for more information about this dealership (df0403@optonline.net). More
THis is worst dealership i have seen. They are not transperent and make all false promises. Moreover they have asked several times to fulfill the survey/call about sales experience asking/forcing custo transperent and make all false promises. Moreover they have asked several times to fulfill the survey/call about sales experience asking/forcing customers to rate 10/10 when filling the survey/phone. > I had a very bad experience with this dealership and I will never recommend Hyundai nor its dealerships to anyone of my friends or my coworkers. This is the first time I am leasing a car, so they exploited me . The finance person said, i had to pay extra for the GAP and they increased my premium. later i realised that the GAP comes automatically with all new hyundai vehicles. When i called the dealership and asked to remove the GAP, they said it was included in my monthly payment and changed their word an i cannot remove it now. Overall Hyundai experience is very bad and it sucks I will never buy/lease a hyundai vehicle again in my life nor recommend it any of my friends. The salesman and other were not courteous and they do not provide enough information when asked . They have their own interests and their are back of fulfilling their own targets. Customer does not mean anything to them. More

The same day not even an hour ago after we spoke on the the phone, imagine i came all the way from hudson county only to find out the car was gone. And she was offering me another car.And i said NO!!! And she replied, why not? I really had a terrible experience with this lady who was very arrogant to a customer. I know sales people would like to earn our business but the way she treated me i would never ever recommend this dealership to anyone. More
I came in with an ad from another dealer and they refused to match it and lied like rugs. I haggled with them for hours, had done my homework as far as the Kelly Blue Book pricing info and they still wouldn' to match it and lied like rugs. I haggled with them for hours, had done my homework as far as the Kelly Blue Book pricing info and they still wouldn't come down to match the prices. Then they tried to sell me a used car that was low mileage but the body was in such bad shape I couldn't believe they would even show me the car. Very rude, major liars, got a better deal elsewhere. I bought 2 cars from them in 2009 - 08 Vera Cruz & 09 Santa Fe. The Santa Fe had: No gas in the tank Low air in the tires Worn windshield wipers The salesman registered the car as a Sonata, not a Sa Santa Fe. The Santa Fe had: No gas in the tank Low air in the tires Worn windshield wipers The salesman registered the car as a Sonata, not a Santa Fe (you would think he'd know what he sold me). The car couldn't be inspected until the registration was corrected. In the meantime, I got a ticket for no inspection sticker (they ultimately reimbursed me for it, after several phone calls were made to the owner & sales manager). I found them to be very unprofessional & would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. More
